I am one who got into the hype and visited various sites trying to find out more. I was excited about this movie ever since I saw the trailer at Transformers. Then, as time passed and the movie was closer to coming out I got worried that it was overhyped and would be a huge letdown. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. I thought it was very well done and a lot of fun. The monster is cool, the snips from tv coverage made it seem pretty real too. There were a few things I thought were not exactly right but i rarely find a perfect film. I really liked to the movie. The sound was really good, using Skywalker Sound was a good idea. There will almost certainly be a seual because a character says its alive after the credits end. The sequal might be the next day though I heard someone from the film say, from another camera.........which is very much like todays world..........I cant recall the number of cellphone and amateur cam footage i saw from 9/11, so its very likely people would do the same in this event. Also, kudos on the Star Trek trailer. I am not a big star trek fan, its ok, but this new film looks really cool. I look forward to it.

I look forward to the movie. I like this concept of a "found video" better than a new godzilla type movie. Should be a fun movie. At least someone is trying something creative for once instead of the usual cookie cutter movies we get forcefed all the time. Rather see this than a Xmen 4 or something like that. Maybe it will bomb. Blair Witch was different and it did very well at the theaters. People either loved it or hated it. I suspect it will be the same with this film. I thought the viral hype campaign was genius. This movie has more buzz than most and it is almost all hype and created from cheap internet videos and myspace pages. The movie fans did the rest. You all probably would ahve seen Star Wars back in 1977 and thought : this movie is dumb, space travel is silly.......unwatchable.............and dont get me started on jaws, that shark looked so fake........................ Do yourself a favor and just dont see the movie and save yourself the money and save us all from reading your garbage comments.

ALIENS VS. PREDATOR: REQUIEM - Dec 28, 2007 - 10:32am
After the last AVP I had to say I expected nothing at all from this film. The last one was HORRIBLE. That said, I somehow actually enjoyed this one. Its not a great film but can't exactly say I was expecting a great film. What I did like was: 1) Didnt follow the typical movie rules i.e. a kid not only gets his face snatched onto by a egg layer but then watches an alien shoot out his dads belly before he too gets the 'ol alien thru the chest treatment. 2) NIce Girlfriend of the main character untouchable? Nope. Skanky ho gets it too. Things that were silly: 1) The national guard chick just happens to know how to operate the armored vehicle and the helicoptor......um what MOS is that exactly? Highly unlikely and well terrificly lucky that she had those skills. 2) For the people that arent into aliens and predators...........introducing a character in the last 20 seconds of the film with no explanation...........not a good idea and why does every mysterious character have to wear leather? Doesnt anyone dress normal? 3) And damn how fast do these things gestate? In the first alien film the guy has that alien on his face then is out for a while wakes up is normal and finally it pokes out of his chest.............not it seems the aliens reproduce in seconds.
