So...Edward will assimilate me?
Can we choose which one invades our bodies....repeatedly?
I haven't read this one...so I'll say little about it.
Isn't there just one book about this? Not sure if one book consists of a franchise.

Author Stephenie Meyers will have another potential theatrical franchise on her hands sometime in the near future. Variety reports that producers Nick Wechsler, Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz have used their own money to acquire screen rights to The Host, the 2008 novel written by Stephenie Meyer outside of the popular Twilight series. After some negotiating between Meyer's reps and the producers, she agreed to the deal when Andrew Niccol (Gattaca) was brought in to write the script and direct.
Plot Concept: Meyer's novel is a love story set in the near future on Earth, which has been assimilated by an alien species of benevolent parasites that call themselves "Souls." One such soul, the Wanderer, is fused with a dying human named Melanie Stryder, in an attempt to locate the last pocket of surviving humans on Earth.

"alien species of benevolent parasites"
Jumping Jesus on a Pogo Stick does Stephenie Meyers have anything in any world what might resemble having a backbone? I wish I was in her soft feel good lovey dovey version of everything. Instead I keep ending up in the 28 Days Later version everytime I wake up.
well, let's face it --
there's always some alien force sneaking up behind us and making us their bitches, they're always warming up the probe...
and given this I wonder about Meyer's "secret" life
Meyer's got herself as Bella (in theory) and Edward's there to fight his "bad" desires but, ultimately, he wants some
now aliens are sneaking up on her and wanting to take her over as well
look at the names: Melanie Stryder is this girl's name, and change it about and you could get Stephenie Meyer
are Mormon girls actually submissive, waiting to be taken over by a force more powerful than them in an attempt to be loved? I'm not sure if this is the Mormon brainwashing of polygamy or if she's just a submissive girl.....hoping to be ravaged
as for being assimilated by Edward...no not really...
A girl who read this told me she loved it, so I'll wait and see if the trailer is interesting to me.
I had no idea Stephenie Meyers was mormon, I have mormon friends so that explains alot.
Hopefully it won't be 2 hours of parasites staring at each other breathing heavily
Anyway, you lost me at Stephanie Meyers
wiseguy can't admit he likes the heavy breathing...
chopsaki, what does it explain? this I gotta know....
So it's a Twilight version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers?
