MGS 4 Continues On Without Snake?

It seems so...

Judging from the producers of the best selling video game series Metal Gear Solid are saying, don't expect the series to end with the upcoming fourth installment. Just expect it to be Snake's last mission for the near future.

Here's what producer Ryan Peyton told MTV about the series after the next one hits shelves and what to expect...

"I think there's been some misconceptions that this is the last 'Metal Gear,'" said Payton. "This is really just the last chapter of the saga of the Solid Snake story." While remaining spoiler-free, Payton went on to say that MGS4 will tie up all the lose ends of the Metal Gear Solid series once and for all, allowing Kojima to put the character of Solid Snake behind him.

"[Solid Snake] was a burden [for Kojima] because of all those loose ends," said Payton. "So when you play Metal Gear Solid 4 and when you get to the end, I think you're going to feel that 'wow, this is a nice closure.' All of the weird stuff that's gone on in the past, it's all coming to an end. All those weird questions -- everything is answered."

This was a given. Konami isn't going to let their franchise die, it just won't be named Metal Gear Solid but instead continue with Metal Gear. New characters & story will be good, maybe they can keep it a wee simpler storywise. Hopefully Kojima stays involved although that will mean complicated story. Looking foward to MGS4 when I finally beat GTA4 and then any future Metal Gear game.

Fooled me again. Everytime I see that picture I think it's something about Green Arrow.

Speaking of Green Arrow, Latino Review has a rave review of Supermax. Don't know if the movie will ever get made, but it sounds cool!

fft, read the same. It did sound pretty cool. They did make it sound as if the possibiliy is still there they may make this. Let's hope they do but get another director, Goyer hasn't impressed me as a director.

Duh. I never hated Raiden the way everyone else did anyway. He's no snake, but he's still cooler than the average character.
