With as boring as MI2 was they need someone as boring as Morpheus I mean Laurence Fishburne. Get some coffee bro. When Cruise bails maybe Keanu will get the part.

Fishburne boring? The man is anything BUT boring. I can see him playing some evil madman bent on destroying the world. As for MI:2 being a crapfest, perhaps you missed the great acting, great score, fantastic car chases, and overall heart-pounding action. It was a different animal compared to the original, but damn was it entertaining.

I guess you werent watching the same crappy MI2 I was, the one with the horrid stunts, pathetic fight scenes and the stolen scene from Last of the Mohicans were you. I guess not because if you were you would have agreed that it blew like everyone else.

Ive seen much worse movies than the MI movies but they dont hold a candle to the original show. I thought the second was the better movie, but the first was closer in tone to the show. the real problem is the plots are too simple. The show was complex, but god forbid somebody make a complex, interesting movie. in hollywood anyway.

MI2 took longer than Viagra to end. I loved the first one but slow mo fight scenes? I guess if you want the viewer to see what using peote is like.

And I guess if you are comparing Laurence Fishburne to the Russia House he is quite exciting. He was good in Deep Cover and Boys N The Hood. But its usually the same persona in every movie.

And what is with the sydden surge of casting Keri Russell in everything? Good a Felicity movie be on the way? If so WGN 9 Chicago newsman PAUL KONRAD deserves to reprise his cameo role.

My bad Paul is a weatherman. And the funniest thing on TV.

I kinda liked the first MI, but the second was ridiculous. The whole deadly virus and really over done motorcycle chase...it just made me mental. I'm hopeful with this third one because of JJ, but I'm thinking Tom Cruise has flipped his friggin lid.

With this lid flipping I think JJ is going to have a tough time doing the movie the way he wants to do it. I can see it already when JJ wants to do something and it rubs Scientologist Dr Cruise the wrong way it brings production to a hault. That's really the last thing this movie needs especially since it'll probably end up costing more than a hundred and fifty mil.

Let me think in sssslllloooowwwww mmmmmooooooo... at least fishburne has the acting chops not to be an over-the-top bad dude. He would be interesting.

I like the MI series just because they've branded and set it up like a american "James Bond", but each one different. I don't necessarily like all their choices, but at least they take the character somewhere and let well known people handle them (ie: De Palma and the much hated slo mo John Woo). It's fun action..now I'm sure it's fun action with a scientology subtext ;)
