Michael Jai White cast in 'The Surrogates'?

Moviehole.net reports that Michael Jai White may be cast opposite Bruce Willis in the big screen adaptation of 'The Surrogates'.

The film would be based on the graphic novel written by Robert Venditti and illustrated by Brett Weldele. Published by Top Shelf Comix, the book  is set in a futuristic world where humans live in isolation. They interact vicariously, through surrogate robots.

Jai White is best known to fans of this site as the star of the 1997 comic adaptation of Todd MacFarlane's 'Spawn', but he's also done voice acting in several 'Justice League' related projects as well as the 'Static Shock' TV series. He's set to next appear in 'The Dark Knight'.

'Terminator 3' helmer Jonathan Mostow is directing the film.
