Michael Sheen is moving from one vampire franchise to another if The Mail on Sunday is reporting the truth via an interview with director Chris Weitz. The U.K. paper reports that director Weitz confirmed Sheen has been cast in The Twilight Saga's New Moon to play play Aro, the leader of an Italian vampire clan called the Volturi. As most of you Maniacs know, Michael is the werewolf Lucian in Screen Gems' Underworld franchise.
Weitz reportedly pursued the actor "aggressively" for the part of Aro.
"Michael's role is so important because he's the head of all vampires," he said. "Aro is, on the surface, a very gracious and friendly vampire, but beneath that he is a tremendous threat."
If true, he will join Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning, Nikki Reed, Chaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon, Tyson Houseman and Jamie Campbell-Bower. Weitz takes over the helming duties, based on a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg.
Plot Summary: The second film in Summit Entertainment's "Twilight" film franchise, based on author Stephenie Meyer's blockbuster book series. In "New Moon," Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black. Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested.
The Twilight Saga's New Moon will hit theaters November 20, 2009.

well so far the only reason Jacob exists is to stay off to the side and hope to get some Bella time while smiling and being the boy she's not gonna shag and I'm gonna shut up now because I'm staring to sound way too much like a 15 year old girl.

Ok.....I finally watched Twilgiht the other day, and I gotta say, I was actually impressed. It was a fuck of a lot better than I thought it would be, maybe because I was stoned, but either way, I really enjoyed it. The acting (besides being awkward at times, which might have been intentional) was pretty good, and I really liked the way it was filmed. I have never read any of the books, but every chick I know gets all moist and drippy when talking about them, so I expected a total chick flick, but it was a decent story. Onlt thing that was a little CW was that the Vampires sparkle in the light. That was a little weak, but overall , I give it a B ....now, i'm gonna take a step back because I think I am having my first period,,,,,I'm a big girl now,,,yay
