(Wed 06/18/2008 04:54pm)

And my erstwhile quest to find out what the abaddon is going on with Legend of Zelda Online is at an end intersection.

(apparently nothing is going on on the official online front as yet - Ed)

and what IS up with that?

(a fully featured LOZ online game would probably slay the internets -Ed)

possibly but in any case in the interim, I  found some of the originals playable online + some small indie LOZ online games + a very hip Halo Mod that fans might be interested in using to satiate their Triforce hunger.

to wit

The Legend of Zelda - Online Games - Flash Player Required

The Legend of Zelda: The Seeds of Darkness Online Game (not bad)

The Legend of Zelda And The Lampshade of No Real Significance Online Game (daft)

The Legend of Zelda: Can of Whoop-Ass Online Game

The Legend of Zelda - Online Games - Ports - Java Required

The Legend of Zelda (online playable port of original NES game)

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (online playable port of the original NES game)

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (online playable port of original greyscale Gameboy game)

The Legend Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (online playable port of the DeluXe color Gameboy game - excellent)

Hacks of original NES Legend of Zelda - Ports - Java Required

The Legend of Zelda: Ganon's Revenge (online playable hack of the original NES LOZ)

Zelda - Timecrisis: Fall of the Moon (online playable hack of the original NES LOZ)

The Legend of Zelda: The Search for Link (online playable hack of the original NES LOZ)

---

but alas none of these are massive-multiplayer, which to be Link (he means Frank - Ed) *punch Ed in the nose* is what we're really after.

To those ends, I 'aven't found anything (c)official but if you've got HALO for the PC, there is a MOD available that allows you to uh (mod - Ed) the game into a sort of multiplayer online Legend of Zelda.

Which is an impressive step up from what I did

(which was to run about the free MMORPG Runescape with a pointed hat, a long green t-shirt, and brown boots, whilst occasionally stopping a stranger to ask where Hyrule was - Ed)

Sure Ed, but you neglected to mention the bit where I'm not wearing pants.

(I must have blocked it out along with all OTHER traumas you've given me - Ed)

AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA regressive hypnosis here you come Ed!

Yes, I'm quite impressive in a naked Joker appendage sort of way particularly given it was a long shirt and all the princesses ran away screaming (if he does say so himself - Ed)  but I don't think I made it work quite as well as these 2 Zelda Cosplayers did.

ye can Quest ((here)) (and read comment #13 -Ed) to acquire the details and the download links for the impressive HALO Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Multiplayer Online Game mod.

NOTICE NOTICE NOTICE  NOTICE NOTICE NOTICE NOTICE NOTICE NOTICE

(Did you NOTICE? - Ed)

*tazer Ed's left testicle*

If  you know of any OTHER LOZ online games, please feel free to add it 'ere, as I should like to amass a complete list.

*pause*

Or I'll tazer *YOUR* left testicle.

(for some of these BDSM Maniacs, that may not quite serve as a threat - Ed)

Dear Mania Management: Bitches, why are my images _not_ showing up above? they appear properly in-msg when I hit Edit, but they're not displaying in the actual blog.

Fix that, you're fragging with my hacking of the system and that simply won't do.

hugs and kisses,
mXm.

Those two chicks may make me rethink my distaste of all things Nintendo. They are yummy, and they like to play dress up. I wonder if they like to play undress as well. "Keep the ears on, baby!"

Jakester! *ziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip* (no, bad - Ed)

Jes, Nintendo may indeed appear to be too family-friendly/tame for the Jakester, but if there's one thing I've learned in this insane life it's that you can get further with a kind word and a poisoned gas balloon than you can with just a kind..uh sorry, relapse, wrong quote., I mean Never Say Never!

(after all, who knows, they may yet develop a Jakester approved strapon for the wiimote! - Ed)

OK but they're going to have to change their nomenclature stylings to match, sure as hell ain't callin it the Wii-Strapon.

Yup YupYupYup, I'm with you Jakester, bloody hell these 2 girls are costing me a fortune in purple pants!

Dear Mania Tech Team: 'ello 'mates! long time no extrapolate the iguana.

The W I D E spacing in the post above above was not of my own volition, it auto-occured when I edited and saved that msg. That in itself, while peculiar, however is not the issue I wish to bring to your attention, since that's been 'appening since Cinescape IIRC and I 'ave a sneaking suspicion you do that on purpose just to be strange; of likely more concern to the new and improved layout is that when I attempted to _delete_ said msg, I was unable to get passed the confirmation.

On Win XP in FireFox it just sat there mockingly doing nil as I clicked "yes", and then still did nothing when I repeatedly punched "yes" with a large 2 foot red boxing glove.

(to the "are you sure you want to delete this msg" prompt - Ed)

in IE, when I clicked "yes, delete the fraking msg already bitch" (to loosely paraphrase - Ed) it retorted, "error on page"

You know, FYI, and all that.

I'm having Mania issues as well. See my post(s) in the "user database combined" thread in the help section on the forum. Fortunately, I haven't had the "personalize your ads" popup yet. I think I would drive to Texas and kneecap DJ if that happened. Anyway, the colourful language really enhances the descriptiveness of the detail, I think.

Oh, and I haven't had to change pants due to that elf picture. I have much more restraint than that. My screen, however, looks like it's got white out all over it.

michaelxaviermaelstrom • Jun 27, 2008, 01:12am •

The select-advertiser screen only showed up once here in Firefox, I think I scared it off.

Not that I have a problem with it, it seems a good idea to allow us to choose what sort of adverts we get here at Mania (provided there aren't a gogolplex more of them) but the options proffered weren't terribly inviting, where was the "Science Fiction" or "Horror" or "Genre" option or more urgently, the "scantily plaid-mini-skirt-clad-babe oriented ads" option?

P.S: uh *gaze left* *gaze right* *Flap trenchcoat* I 'ave discovered a new way to hack our profiles!

(to add personalized blog theme music or the like to your profile page -Ed)

if you would like to do so, on the "edit your profile" page, turn "occupation" and/or "school" on, and plug in basic html "a href" link code to uh link to either a webpage or a streamed song, in either.

example code 1: BBC article on Edge Mag's Top 100 VideoGames of all time

example code 2: Listen To The Insane Song (Realplayer Required)

If the above examples are automagically transmogrified into links by the editor, they will of course turn out to be completely useless html examples and uh
