FanFilmFocus: GRAYSON

Greetings Lunatiks!

(uh that's "Maniacs!" - Ed)

You say potatoe, I say bite me Ed.

(OK Dan Quayle - Ed)

Go Away Ed.

Over the next while, I'll be looking for and at Fan Films and sharing what I find.  Largely because I'm still pissed that they canceled Birds of Prey, I can't find any Batman on traditional TV and it's taking *scribble* *scribble* *erase* carry the 2 .. uh forever for 24 to start.

Ergo the preliminary FanFilmFocus will be on Batman and then will branch out to some other genre faves.

No doubt you will have seen some of these before.

My particular FanFilmFocus is designed for the fan-film newbie and the hardcore junkie - essentially it's to highlight the films that I've either found online in the past, and/or am currently finding, that I think are worth a look, or even, a second one.

Sure there's some excrement out there in fan-filmdom but it's amazing how bloody good some of them have gotten!

So let's cut the crap and get to it, and open with an thermo-nuclear explosion; a veritable feast for the starving Batfan., a rare item for which hyperbole itself was invented., The Batman Fan-Film: GRAYSON.

Designed as a trailer for an upcoming movie (that Warner Brothers will never allow them to make  - Ed) don't let that fool you into thinking you're getting short-changed.

This is impressive material here presented in an professional manner that tells a square-jaw-dropping story that I for one would be willing to sign a petition., (in whomever's blood is required -Ed)., to have this made into a feature film.

Yet even without a full length feature, Grayson manages to unfold a tale that one or at least this one will not soon forget; that seems far more fleshed and comprehensive within the minds retinal center than its deceptive 5 minute running time would seem to indicate.

THIS fellow Lunatiks (that's "Maniacs!" - Ed) does the Batman _and_ DC Universe proud.

So without further adieu or ado even, we present our first FanFilmFocus:

GRAYSON.
Written, Produced And Directed by John Fiorella.

Batman is DEAD. The Boy Blunder should let sleeping bats lie, but awww, he can't, he's seeking Batty's executioner(s) out.  How cute.

Careful what you wish for Dick.

Starring:

The Corpse of Batman.
Commissioner Gordon
Barbara Gordon
Selina Kyle
Batgirl
The Penguin
The Riddler

Dick Grayson

AND

weeeeeell, you're not going to believe who else is in this.

(that would be telling - Ed)

HEHEHEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Be Terrified.  Be Very Very Terrified.

2 Wide As Abaddon Grins Up.

I agree. That "preview' inspired me to make my own film. If I ever get the money to do so, I plan on conacting John Fiorella and financing the whole film. I just want to see it made. I wouldn't care about the return. But, that is the artist in me speaking.

Weeeell Samson, when you do, be sure to put all that money in one safe in your house. It's SAFER that way. HEHEHEHEHE HEH. What's interesting to note is that according to Fiorella himself, the Grayson Extended Preview/Trailer cost him "4 credit cards" to make. So maybe we should start a campaign to finance the full feature film by starting a credit card donation drive. *empty purple bag full of loot onto desktop* Just remains to ask him whose he'd like. AH-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA sorry, relapse. Anyway, Cool. Spotted on your blog that you were in the planning stages, how's your film going mate?

Wow, that was impressive. The guy playing Dick looked very familiar to me. Has been in anything else? It looks like there is an extremely deep conspiracy going on. If he's got the story all figured out, he should definitely just write it and see if he couldn't sell the story to DC so they could make a book of it. I'd like to see where he wanted to take this thing. Anyway, keep these coming. You've been finding some great stuff so far.
