A great film legend has left us. Mickey Rooney passed away on Sunday night. He surrounded by his family, the actor was 93 years old. Though not really a genre actor, Mania cannot deny the impact that Mickey Rooney had on Hollywood. He would rise from the ranks of child star to become a regular actor in everything from comedies opposite Judy Garland to mega assemble pieces like It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad World. Rooney would constantly adapt his career and later star is Disney pictures and even make an appearance on The Simpson’s

Rooney also holds a great distinction in being, the only actor to appear in at least one film in ten consecutive decades. Not to mention that he holds the Guinness Book of World Records record for the longest Hollywood Career, 88 years.

Our thoughts go out to both Rooney’s family and friends. Thanks for all the great films Mick!

"If you ever catch me havin' more fun, shoot me!"

- Mickey Rooney as Andy Hardy

Mickey Rooney was the man! He could do it all: sing, dance, act comedic or dramatic. And was the top box office stars over Flynn, Gable, and many others. He was also one of the biggest ladies men in Hollywood history.

I salute you, Andy Hardy!

From living legend to simply legend. To me, he will always be Santa.

Rest in peace, Mickey.

That's too bad. I'll always remember him as Lampie from Pete's Dragon, one of my favorite movies as a kid.
