Microsoft Game Studios has opened the doors for its official website for FORZA MOTORSPORT, the company's next racing simulator for the Xbox. First announced at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the title is Microsoft's competition against Sony's top-selling and critically hailed racing sim, GRAN TURISMO. To provide more info about the game and its features, Microsoft has included a number of features at the website:

  • A "Car Builder" section allows car enthusiasts to modify the look and performance of six cars -- the Acura NSX, Nissan 350z, Audi TT, Silvia, Hyundai Tiburon and Volkswagen Beetle. Fans can apply various high-performance aerodynamic modifications including spoilers, bumpers and side skirts as well as select engine and drivetrain mods. The game will allow players to modify street vehicles into high performance racing cars using this feature.

  • "Car Cultures" looks at the wide-range of cars and car cultures that make up the game. Five unique groups of car cultures are examined -- American Muscle, Tuner/Drifter, Super Unlimited, Exotic Modified and European Motors. The page features exclusive in-game footage of each car culture, allowing gamers to compare and contrast each group's cars and the style in which they can be driven.

  • 24 screenshots of the more than 200 cars included in the game are now online as well as dozens of other screenshots.

  • A "Tracks" section examines the twists, turns and realistic environments in FORZA MOTORSPORT.

  • There are also exclusive music clips from the game's soundtrack, as well as a section which lists the game's various multiplayer modes of play.

Direct your browser to www.ForzaMotorsport.net to see the goodness. The game ships to retail stores in April 2005.
