And another actor has joined the ranks of Quentin Tarantino's upcoming WII flick Inglorious Bastards, reports The Quentin Tarantino Archives. The site reports the comedian Myers is set to play a small part in the film. With this addition, the cast includes Brad Pitt, Nastassja Kinski, Simon Pegg, Mike Myers, David Krumholtz, B.J. Novak and Eli Roth. Production on the Universal/Weinstein project will begin October 13 in Germany with director Tarantino hoping to get it ready for release at next May's Cannes Film Festival.
Plot Concept: In the film, a band of U.S. soldiers facing death by firing squad for their misdeeds are given a chance to redeem themselves by heading into the perilous no-man's lands of Nazi-occupied France on a suicide mission for the Allies.
Bet none of you inglorious bastards saw that coming did u!!? Mike Myers = Tarantino's reclamation project ala Travolta.
Flint was looking for who, here it is, Mike fuckin Myers!
Hopefuly Simon Pegg is the comic relief in the cast and Myers small role is a serious role. That might be interesting because he sure as shit stopped being funny a long time ago.
This is a rather strange cast, to say the least... A director, two comedians, a writer, and Brad Pitt... Not exactly what I would have thought when casting a WWII movie. But I guess it's pretty understandable considering Quentin Tarrantino is fucking crazy.
Brendan...Spot on, almost...The Love Guru was probably the worst movie I've this year although it did have a few funny moments but for the most part, it stunk...
hopefully he does play a serious part and leaves the funny stuff to someone funny or not...
Mike Myers isn't that bad, yeah some of his movies sucked, but he's pretty funny. B. J. Novak is the weirdest addition in my opinion. and what happened to Pegg's costar from Shawn of the Dead and Hot Fuzz? Are they not buddies anymore?
