Meanwhile, over at WB.....***crickets***

I don't exactly agree with Millar being over content, but it's a smart move by Fox to lock him up and take advantage of Marvel having their ducks in a row. It's a good name that people know and despite how he deviates from his comics, his movies have fared well...he actually is perfect for DD, because his kind of storytelling may be some of what DD needs...

FF? I dunno about that one....but hey, anything's possible.

The next question: Who is Sony going to lock up?

Wiseguy 9/28/2012 10:25:06 AM

He did write FF for a while several years back

monelonmonday 9/28/2012 11:24:17 AM

is'nt   DD  back at marvel  now?

ElBaz13 9/28/2012 12:44:37 PM

@reek. Agree. I like Millar's stuff to a certain degree. He is a good writer but sometimes goes a little too extreme. Everyone praises the Avengers and it being taken from his Ultimates but Marvel/Disney didn't base their movie on the Ultimates because we would have seen "Hulk horny" and him eating people. We seem to forget that was Millar's version of Hulk

@silversurfer. Fox is kissing goodbye to the DD rights unless they start shooting a movie before Oct 10th. They don't even have a director. I'm guessing Fox hired Millar to ensure he has a plan for all franchises and don't lose the rights to FF next year.

Thanks for that update ElBaz13!

So DD will be back in the hands of Marvel and the Mouse (How's that for a movie title?) since Oct 10th is 2 weeks away...that's probably why we haven't heard anything else about him (DD) yet either? I'm sure when Marvel gets the rights back, you'll start hearing all kinds of interesting rumor flying about...

If only Sony would've given up Ghost Rider....at this point Hell itself may spit that back...

Millar has a rep for not playing well with others due to his abrasive personality and with an inflated opinion of himself. You give a guy like that this much power I think it will prove to be a mistake. Another problem I see with this Millar doesn't have a lot of experiance in the entertainment business outside of the comics industry.

Fantastic Four should share a universe with Spidey rather than the X-Men!

BunyonSnipe 9/28/2012 4:01:10 PM

They have more of a shared history, and would be cool if the FF tried to recruit Spidey like in the 60s...

But the way the Fox X-Men films are set up it doesn't really fit into a worlf where the FF exist, does it?

world even... sorry am a little tipsy...............

@monelonmonday- Daredevil reverts back to Marvel/Disney sometime in October.  The exact date hasn't been specified, but it doesn't really matter.  If the licensing contract allowed Fox to crank out a rushed, poorly considered direct-to-video quality movie just to maintain the license, they would have already done so.  Since they haven't, the Man Without Fear's return is inevitable.

As for when Marvel Studios actually does something with him, who can say.  The rights to The Punisher, Blade, Morbius and The Nightstalkers reverted back quite a while ago, and nothing has come of it so far.
