They'll wind up taming this down and making it PG-13...

Personally, we'd love to see an update of the classic sex and space Jane Fonda flick 'Barbarella'.
The film, based on the even-sexier comics of Jean-Claude Forest, is fondly remembered as a dismal failure on its release. While never considered an artistic masterpiece, the film has since been recognized as highly influential and entertaining film.
A remake has been discussed and developed for decades now, with the most recent attempt coming from director Robert Rodriguez. He'd signed on to make the movie for Universal Pictures way back in 2007. The movie was fast-tracked for development, but ran into trouble later the same year. The story was that Rodriguez's big vision for the film was going to be expensive, and he was insistent on casting his then-girlfriend Rose McGowan in the lead. The Studio supposedly couldn't reconcile the big budget with an actress that they couldn't bet on to put butts into seats.
Still, that didn't stop McGowan from telling the press last April that pre-production was underway and sets were being built for the film. Then, in July, Rodriguez and McGowan said the movie was being put on hold in favor of 'Red Sonja'.
Sill, one good thing has come out of it. Legendary Italian artist Milo Manara, known for his erotic comics, did some character and costume designs for the movie at some point.
Our friend Antonello Blueberry managed to get a good look at the concept art that was showcased at a recent Manara exhibition in Venice. Not one to be selfish, Antonello sent along one of the images for his friends at Mania.
Enjoy:
What do you think? Should someone put the Barbarella movie back on track? Post your comments below...
The first film was an awesomely/horrible soft core fantasy/sci-fi porn on psycho-hallucinogens. As a child it made me touch myself, I’ll admit it. I’m not scared. You would too. Don’t judge me man! I’m down for the remake, bring on the satyr orgy.
What's the big deal? That's how I make all my slave harem dress.
