Well, latelly maybe I'm more Banner than Jedi...MAYBE....

But, to tjanson's point, I would say that the new SW trilogy or the latest Indy movie ''affected'' the originals. The stories within the books are directly affecting the originals (like the new trilogy and so forth) since they are ''expending''the book's idea and creation of the character.

Yes, one can choose to ignore but it doesn't stop the fact that they exist and are attempting to affect what was already established.

It's ok to like them, I'm just opposed to the idea (hopefully I've said enough I won't share the same thoughs anymore).

The prequels did change the originals,.

See...even Hanso agrees with me.

The prequels did change the originals.  They changed the meaning of the relationship between Vader and Obi Wan and also between Vader and Luke and between Vader and Lia.  They changed our whole perception of Vader from an unstopable force of evil to a whiny brat with "issues".  You can pretend you didn't see the prequels but it's really impossible to unsee a movie or unknow what you know.  Our perceptions of Vader are forever changed.

And it doesn't help that Lucas keeps tinkering with the movies either.

Hey , its been over 20 yrs since the original came out . I think some new artists with a prequel  on each character is a good idea . Just as every Superhero been drawn by other Ppl , so why not this ? I may wait till all  are out an buy it when  its sold as a complete book , but in the meanwhile Ill read um in the aisle at the store (LOL) .
