We have newest trailer for the Amityville reboot. Originally titled Amityville: The Awakening, the studios have changed the tile to just Amityville. This franchise never seems to get it right, but sequels, reboots, and documentaries just keep coming. There might be a chance for this reboot as it is being directed by Frank Khakfoun who handled the remake of Maniac (see review) so well.

Synopsis: A single mother moves her three children into the haunted house not knowing of the house's bloody history.
Amityville features Bella Thorne, Cameron Monaghan, Jennifer Jason Leigh and is directed by Frank Khakfoun (Maniac, High Tension)
Amityville opens in theaters January 2nd, 2015.

37 years of this farce has been enough. Geez. How many different ways can this shit be repackaged?

Have the Wayans brothers made a parody of it yet, or is this the parody?

 Inspired by true events.

There was once a house that people lived in.

People live in a house in this movie.

There we go, true events.

Kurtwood Smith (a.k.a. Clarence Boddicker) must really be struggling for money these days...

I'm not sure what made me laugh harder, this or Bert Kreischer last night.

They should make an Amityville version about a family that pretends to live in a haunted house and then becomes rich selling stupid books.
