That cameo of Stark in this trailer will bring in a lot of people to the theater who either had no plans on seeing this or were not sure if they would see it or not so it's a good move on Marvels part to support it's other franchises because they now know that Stark is a big name with movie goers now and that in itself is a good selling point...I think it's cool by the way and hope it works out for them...

I agree with Scyth to a certain extant, Singer has not done anything worth talking about since The Usual Suspects, the X-man were not bad and Superman was dismal beyond belief and this Valkyrie project seems to be going down in flames quick, not because of the new footage being shot because shooting new footage can be a good thing, just ask Peter Jackson

Lets here no more talk about Freddy Prince Jr taking on Spiderman for crying out loud...I vote RuPaul as the next Spiderman, except it won't be called Spiderman but SpiderTS or Spiderit... Hanso, that's it my man one more game and were in it and if you are not a fan of the Lakers and you are the other team, well, be prepared to get your butts kicked...No one has dominated the playoffs this season like the Lakers and even the two teams that had the best records this season have stumbled through the playoffs, the only team I see having a chance to beat the lakers out of Detroit and Boston, well that's a hard one to pick but I think Boston might match up better since they have the big guys to match up with, will see...

I just came back from watching it also and I am in the group of people that thinks this is the fourth best out of the four, so in other words it was the worst of the four and very disappointing to say the least...I was not going in expecting it to be even close to Raiders in terms of great story telling, feel and freshness but I was hoping for something more and different than what we got in this last installment...I won't say it's a terrible movie but I can't say it's a great one either...I saw a lot of young boys with there fathers, who probably watched it in the theaters with there fathers or families and now they were sharing there joy of Indy with there sons and I thought that was cool and they will probably enjoy it more so than us older crowd... Well I can still look forward to the D Knight being great and from what I have seen lately, the Hulk has been looking better and better as they update the trailers with the enhanced CGI, let's see, what else is there? Nothing, gotta go...

Positive, Negative, if you can't get around how people express themselves or how they feel then to fricking bad...This site is all about whether or not you like or dislike the news being presented to you and here you are free to express your opinion...If I don't like something I have read, then I will say so and vise versa...I have nothing against the editor or is my expressed opinion directed towards the editor because he/she reports the news with an unbias view not make it up, if the editors here take offense to that, then that is a shame in and of it's self...I happen to like Time Warp, so keep up the good work... Chip, by the way the site is looking and working a hell of a lot better...There is one thing though, some news you cannot read because advertising on both sides of news get in the way, for instance check out the Indy and other movie grosses article and you will see what I mean, other than that not too much to complain about...

They must me monitoring comments now because I have been edited or should I say deleted...Oh well...It was a good run as far as being vulgar and an asshole and now I must conform and be just like the rest of you automaton robots, well not like the rest but like the most of you, well not like most of you but some of you, o.k. not like some of you because I don't want to leave anyone out except the Christians...I am so looking forward to seeing this and might just catch it during the week instead of next weekend then of course my son gets back from Indonesian Islands from his surf trip this weekend so I might end up watching it twice, we'll see how it goes...

cso1982...Here is the link to the whole session...http://www.wetanz.com/holics/index.php?itemid=695&catid=2 I was fortunate enough to partake in it...The questioned that I submitted was not answered but thankfully someone else also submitted the same one and it was answered...I guess some of us are wondering why Jackson did not just go ahead and direct these two movies himself since he knows Middle Earth very well and since he plans on being there during the whole process...He explains that he put most of the last 20 years of his life into LOTR and that he really has had enough but that contradicts how he plans on being involved in every phase of this production although after reading what both men had to say I am more that confident in how both Jacksons vision and Tel Toro's vision will blend together nicely and it will be nice to see Tel Toro's influence splattered across this story...It will be nice to see a slight difference in the making of these movies as apposed to the LOTR movies but at the same time be able to see them mesh together...It's way to early in the game to get any ideas about how all of this is going to turn out so heres hoping for the best...

That is a great number and Sunday is not even over with yet so that number is going to get even bigger...I think it's going to surpass Iron Man...What was Iron Mans 3 day total anyways, anyone? Anyways, it's good to see Indy back on the big screen...

I second what Popa said...There may be few titles for PS3 compared to X-Box but it will not be that long before PS3 has a shit load of titles that are great and some not so great and the library is growing as we speak all be it a slow process it is...I read somewhere that more than 40% of X-boxes have failed and have had to be sent back because of hardware issues so that is what has kept me from thinking about that console...If I had to choose one or the other it would be PS3 because of the b-ray and because it has consistantly been a good product over the many years, though I digress because I do not own either one of them and never will...I play a few computer games here and there one being GTA and Bioshock of lately but not into games hardcore like some people, I have to many things to do in my life so I will wait and get all the consoles when I retire...The End

I just got back from seeing it and I think it's more like C+ but probably B+, A for kids...I thought the acting was sub-par just like in the first movie...The bad guys and there story line was weak, I never had any reason to dislike the bad guys, I just did not care about them one way or the other or there cause plus there speech/deliverance was very monotone and boring...Now this movie looks great, it has all the killer CGI with all the great landscapes and backdrops but that's about it, at least this is what this 38 year old thinks...

Scythe is expressing how he feels about certain things, nothing wrong with that or even how he expressed himself, actually he is pretty composed compared to how I like to tell it buts thats neither here nor there...Speaking of a movie that looks fun/funny is the Mike Myers flick, it's called the Love Guru and it looks like good stuff...As far as this trailer, looks like snippets put together from all the other trailers they put out, I'll be there opening day because I am sure I will have nothing better to do than watch what is going to be a good comic flick...

100% loved it...It's funny how you mention Hurley and Ben sitting together because I thought to myself what an odd scene, two guys that could not be farther apart in there beliefs and here they are sharing a candy bar...Is it me or is anyone else beginning to think that Locke was reincarnated from Jacob? It is still the best show on television and I hate that there is only two more seasons left but I guess it's best that they don't drag it out and kill the story...

Hamilton was not portrayed as evil in John Adams, he was portrayed as an asshole and he was but so were a lot of men back then and now...You almost had to be an asshole/ruthless in those times in order to survive in the new world, John Adams, as great as a man he was, was also an Asshole plus you have to give the guy credit who wrote the book this mini series is based on, he knows his shit better than most and his credentials speak for themselves... I trust Spielberg in this type of genera not to mention the guy is still a film making genius so there should be no need to worry about how he approaches this, I mean, he has been working on this for years now...

So Speed Racer is officially a flop...That's to bad...The scheduling and the Advertising campaign of this movie killed it plus the length but most definitely the scheduling... I would give Metal props for calling it but what he's been calling, in the last two weeks is not what he called at the beginning of all of this... He did not mention scheduling or other movies but said this movie would fail because it sucked and he still has not responded to that and thus has made him self believe the avalanche of bullshit he has been feeding us has been the real issues at hand...No props for you Metal and you can still kiss my Ass! Try going back to that original thread of Speed and try reading what you said about this movie and ask yourself if you should still kiss Gauley's ass... Wiseguy...Bad idea on Brad Pitt playing Thor...End of story... p.s. Good for Iron Man...They did a really solid job on that movie and it deserves what it is taking in...
So Speed Racer is officially a flop...That's to bad...The scheduling and the Advertising campaign of this movie killed it plus the length but most definitely the scheduling... I would give Metal props for calling it but what he's been calling, in the last two weeks is not what he called at the beginning of all of this... He did not mention scheduling or other movies but said this movie would fail because it sucked and he still has not responded to that and thus has made him self believe the avalanche of bullshit he has been feeding us has been the real issues at hand...No props for you Metal and you can still kiss my Ass! Macthorn...Your not alone in your sentiments about this movie...I thought it was a very good movie because it was a fun movie...I did not expect to find the meaning of life in this movie and if that's what people are after then they should avoid it...Mac, don't go selling yourself short, I'm sure your worth at least the price of a movie ticket on the whore market because I would have been sitting there with you and your son enjoying this movie and that's at least what I would sale myself for lol...I thought Spritle and Chim Chim were fun and added a small of amount of comedy relief that was sorely needed...I'm glad that I am not the only one that liked it and I to would go and pay to watch it again...But let me rehash what I had already said in my previous opinion, this movie could have been a great movie if they had only cut 40 minutes off of it but since that's not the case, it's just a good movie...

Metal...Who you plagiarizing? give whoever wrote that story line of speed racer the credit they deserve, ok man? I just got back from watching it and I loved it, well not loved it but I can honestly say it was a good movie for what it was...Had they trimmed off about 40 minutes it could have been a really good movie if not great, unfortunately the exposition and a few cheese ball/unnecessary sequences over bloated this movie and it is a shame...I was going into this with low expectations because there have been mixed reviews by everyone and I am glad I did because it turned out better that way for me...Metal, you were wrong that the movie sucks but you are right about it dying quickly, Iron Man was still getting all the business when I went in to watch this and that's going to kill this movie and then Narnia is going to finish killing it off... I keep hearing and reading that the racing was monotonous but to be honest with you, other than the opening part of the movie where speed as a kid, sitting in rexes lap and doing laps, there was only 3 major racing sequences, the first half of the cross country the second part of the cross country and the final race on a real track again, the cross country racing introduced all the weapons and gadgets, before that and beyond that race, they did not use them although I guess they could have done more in the area of flying in the air and twisting and turning but how much more can you do? I enjoyed the kid and the monkey and so did most of the audience, which by the way was mainly adults for some odd reason although people of Hawaii have always had a different outlook of that of the mainland people when it comes to comedy and movies in general...In short, go see it and have fun because it is a fun movie and that's what makes it good, it's not deep but I doubt the studio is asking kids to take it seriously...I would go with C+ and even a B if it were shorter...

I might get a little sh t for this but I think Keanu Reeves would be great for the lead part in this movie...He just seems to fit the part nicely which does not seem to need a lot of depth in the character and then I could be wrong and this character needs sh t loads of depth...I'm looking forward to this because it is a kick ass story and game...Just take your time, do it right and all should be good...

Sony...Cruise is a loon because he acts like one not because of his beliefs, it that was the case then everyone who believes in the invisible man in the sky is a loon, now that I think about that, they are lol damn those Christians, no offense to any Christians in the room, now that I think about that, I hope I highly offended the Christians in the room lol... Let me just clarify...I was wrong in stating that Bryan Singer got lucky because you can't get lucky with 3+ movies that made money but some of those movies would have made money no matter who directed them, because people really wanted to see them on the big screen, like I stated...The three I mentioned were his most original and well thought out movies but I am also of the belief that if you surround yourself with good people you become a better person, let's not forgot that the director alone does not make the whole movie by himself and the one thing Singer has done well is bring in good, talented people to help him on these projects...He's not a hack like I said but he's not that great either... I think most people are missing the point about this movie and other comic book movies...This one is more grounded in a world that we know and live in and thus should not have been hard to pull off...You have a man who builds an Iron suit and kicks ass in that suit...Now I don't know the whole mythology of Iron man but it seems like a far easier thing to put together than any of the previous comic book movies we have seen in the past...That's just my opinion and means everything and nothing in a world that is sane and crazy...

those were not bad reviews, not great reviews but not bad either...The only thing that is going to kill this movie is Narnia, it may even get slapped a little by Iron Man from carry over in it's second weekend...We'll see how it works out and I am sure the kids are going to love it and now that I think about that there may not be as many multiple viewings as one would think because it's young kids that this movie is catering to and they usually don't spend money to watch a movie twice unless they really loved it...Having said all of that, Gauley, your on your own now my man, I concede, I'm bailing out, I'm running scared, Metal, Kiss my ass...If this movie had been scheduled to come out at a time when it was not surrounded by big name franchises it seems it would have had a better chance but since that is not the case I can only think of one thing, the Titanic...Metal, kiss my ass...That's as much of an apology you are going to get from me, so soak it in my mother nipple feeding loving man...

I went to the 11:30 am showing on Friday and it was packed but not quit sold out in a 1000+ seat theater plus that was not even the first showing, I believe 10:30 was and it was showing on 6 screens which are the biggest in the complex...This movie is great and it kicked my ass and your ass and the his and her ass and even the babies ass that cried for twenty minutes throughout the movie until an usher came in and asked the dumb ass parents to take the kid out into waiting area, damn inconsiderate parents and there babies, anyways I am going to now pull a Metalwater...I told you guys it was going to make a killing and it will probably break all kinds of box office records just look at my previous posts in other threads and I will be justified in what I say because I am always right plus I am the hostess with the mostess and the man who is the rightist with the sphincter that is the most up tightest, and it's all because I say so, no if ands or buts about it, I'm right...Let me add that I think it will bring in at least 120 million by the end of Sunday, maybe...I might be 10 to 15 million to high but over 100 million for sure, let's just say somewhere between 100 and 120 million just to be safe...

All I can say is kill the god damn Wonder Woman project...She has the same appeal as an Uwe Bole project...Now that I think about it, let Uwe do Wonder Woman so that way it can die for good...On another note, I like what I am hearing from the the camp of Iron Man...

Damn Gauley, I wished they had those types of fancy theaters were here in Hawaii, they even closed down the IMAX theater in Waikiki although there is one out at the Polynesian Culture Center but it only shows ocean and volcanic shows...Anyways, thanks for rubbing it in, I will have to go watch it at a normal theater now, Oh well...

I don't think Rhys Davies will come back...As much as he loved his character and the movies he hated getting into the makeup which f cked his face up because of the glues and what not and he said it made it a very hard time for him...If they have improved in makeups so he don't get all messed up it would be nice to see him come back...So now all we need is Hugo and Viggo to come back and then get us a fresh faced actor for Bilbo...Bring it on!

Batman Begins' Tone Influencing WOLVERINE? - May 01, 2008 - 09:19pm
I don't think the X-Men movies were dark at all except for Wolverines character but everything else was childs candy...Batman begins was great in my opinion based on the fact that it showed how he trained with the league of shadows but also his shady lifestyle before that training and the darkness that took place with Bruce's psyche through out the whole thing...Nolan brought realism to a comic book hero and grounded his world that we all can relate to...It was one of the reasons I liked the first Spider Man movie so much, because it was a high school nerd who accidentally gained these super powers and the eventual discovery of what these powers could do and it was grounded in a world that I felt was more real than anything else put to screen prior to it, that is until a villain was born and then it went fantastical...I praise Nolan and his insight to what would work and what the comic book fans wanted, so I trust he will bring us the same thing in the Dark Knight...

As odd as it seems, I am on board with all of these selections that AFI has picked although I got a little lost during the romantic comedy part of the special but fell right back into place when they got to the epic part of the special...Anyways, good list in my opinion... P.S. I wish they had made two different categories for Animation, that of 2-D/Cel Animation and that of 3-D/ Computer and then the Stop Motion could fall into any of those two categories depending on how much of one of the other two was used or involved in the animations creation...And then maybe not and it's fine just the way it is...
