After it went through that long quiet period Midway came back guns ablazin' with its NHL HITZ and MLB SLUGFEST franchises. Those who didn't want to deal with the finer intricacies of the sport found their fix with Slugfest. In this latest iteration Sammy Sosa is onboard for the cover while a number of new pitches and special moves will make an appearance. It's unknown as to whether or not the game will feature the much-anticipated "juice up" or "cork bat" features but we'll keep you posted.

Forget about dealing with roster rotations and other annoying elements. It's all about balls to the wall baseball action, just the way it should be.
