Who can I believe... Somebody help me...The Review!
One of the most simplistic of adult anime releases I think I've ever seen, the show almost defies description.Audio:
For our primary viewing session, we listened to this show in its original language of Japanese. This is also the only language available on this release as no English language version was made for it. The Japanese track is a pretty straightforward stereo mix that does have some minor moments of directionality but it's mostly the music that does a nice job of giving a full feeling performance. Dialogue is clean and clear throughout and we had no problems with dropouts or distortions during regular playback.Video:
Originally released a few years back, the transfer for this series is presented in its original full frame aspect ratio. The animation for the show almost looks like a traditionally animated show in a number of scenes, especially a few that has some grain to it, but it's definitely a digital production as you can tell from the start of it. The transfer is pretty much clean and clear throughout and relatively problem free. There was some light blocking to be seen in the deep blue/black night sky a couple of times but other than that this is pretty much without issue..Packaging:
The artwork on the cover is just very attractive and not representative of what's inside but it certainly does sell itself well here. The front cover has a shot of the lead female that's completely naked as she's getting plowed while a fully dressed version of her in her schoolgirl uniform is next to the logo which is done sideways. The background is fairly simple with the night sky and a red moon to provide the light. The back goes with the same kind of really good looking illustrations that aren't representative of the animation and the summary covers the bulk of the show since it's only thirty minutes while the bottom covers the technical and production information. No insert is included in this release. The cover for this release is reversible and it's amusing which side is shown; the reverse side that's hidden has the exact same artwork but the front cover has her nipples covered with stars and panties drawn on her and the guy's penis is removed. The back cover has similar with stars used to cover nipples and panties added to her naked body.Menu:
The menu layout is similar to other releases from this studio in that the background is a simple wash of colors like red and oranges. Along the right side is a close-up of the character artwork from the front cover and the basic menu selections are lined along the left side. Access times are nice and fast and there's little here beyond the show and a few trailers. Since there's no real selection for language other than turning the subtitles on, the discs defaults mirror our players defaults.Extras:

Moral Hazard, a one episode title that has no more to it, is one of the most content-free shows I've seen in a long time regardless of being an adult title or not. With the one episode that's here, we get what you could call a story but would be closer to a live action gonzo release with an outline of a plot where none of the characters even have names. That's right, not even any names. The title is sure to have its appeal to a segment of fans of adult titles but this one pretty quickly was one that I could do without.
The plot centers around a school girl who is just trying to get home through the park at night. Unfortunately for her, a young thug has decided that she crossed his part of the park and he assaults her so that he can have his way with her. Just as he's done ripping apart her uniform top and getting ready to enjoy the fruits of his efforts, he's smacked hard upside the head by an older gentleman who has arrived with a bat and saved the young woman from her fate. She's quickly thankful to him and for saving her from a cruel fate. But as she says this, she notices that he's not really listening but just pondering something.
As he explains, he's the president of a company that just went under and he's got nothing to his life anymore. Men at the end of their ropes with nothing to live for since he's got massive debts and no hope for real employment will do anything because they're beyond normal now and they'll resort to things like crime and rape just because it's all they can do. She realizes this too late as he grabs her and starts to have his way with her. Where the comedy enters, since it seems like it turns into a comedy with the way the characters start acting about all of this, is that the original guy comes back and knocks out the old guy. And it cycles around a couple of times while both of them chase the girl and try to knock each other out. She's trying to escape but she's practically laughing at certain times over the absurdity of the situation.
The animation for the show is below average but not terribly so. It's not on the level of a lot of the old Milky shows we saw a few years back but there's really nothing titillating about what's here. What was amusing with it is that it felt like an old 80's live action porn movie because they use a bunch of cheesy video effects to achieve repeated animation. When the girl is sucking off one of the guys, they overlay numerous versions of it in smaller form over the original in different sizes and proportions but it's just the same 3 second clip starting at different times and simulates more animation. So cheesy and amusing. In Summary:
Moral Hazard is a title whose content just flat out doesn't interest me at all but it's definitely up front about what it's about and makes no bones about it. The show plays out pretty much in a straightforward manner with one long sex scene of sorts as the two guys compete in getting the girl. With it being a self-contained title, there's at least not the commitment to numerous volumes or episodes to follow it so it'll likely have its fans but I'm not one of them. Fans of this kind of show will at least have a really good looking release and be happy with it.
