Just a few days after confirming at the D23 Expo that their Cleveland production was nearly wrapped for Marvel's The Avengers, some more videos from the set have popped up online courtesy of SuperHeroHype. Check them out below along with a spoiler description of what happened last night during the shoot involving Loki (Tom Hiddleston). Filming is expected to continue through Wednesday night.

Here's what the WEWS5 report said:

"Public Square was transformed into Stuttgart Germany, complete with street signs, banners, and even a marquee over entrance to the site of the former Higbee's Department Building--all written in German.

According to one of the movie's extra, Terminal Tower was being used as a museum, and the extra told NewsChannel5 that the character Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, killed someone in front of hundreds of museum visitors and was making his getaway when the police arrived. Hundreds of extras were seen running in fear multiple times from the set.

The most exciting part of the night came at around 2:30 a.m. when the crew used a pneumatic ram mounted in the rear of a German police car to flip it onto its roof. The setup for the stunt took a few hours and had to be done twice because the first time the car did not flip completely onto its roof."

I see Loki can still move around quickly - this is good for such a furtive character, when he is burdened with Power Rangers' arnour!

That must've been some fart that Loki let go.

I like Loki's suit, I like that the entire Marvel movieverse is staying fairly faithful to their costumes as opposed to black leather or the fad of "keeping it real"

I for one will not be watching anymore of these vids, it's good to see loki seem's to have a big part in The Avengers flick but I really don't want to spoil this at all.

I just want to see the d23 clip, I don't need to see production stuff untill after the blu-ray is released

I'm with you tallman. I just glanced at the titles of the clips butI'm not looking. It's many months away and I don't need to be teased.

Although looking at the photos of Cap and Thor in battle together that were posted yesterday, it gives me hope that my Avengers movie dream scene will happen.

Thor, in the midst of battle , drops his hammer. And Cap, also being overwhelmed by the baddies, instnctively grabs for Mjolnir and lifts it gaining the power of Thor. As soon as he defeats his foes he immediately returns it to its rightful owner. This shows that Captain America is truly smeone worthy to wield the Asgardian weapon. None of the other Avengers could ever do that.

Idk how much of this teasing my comic-lovin-c*ck can take......

I think we are seeing a pattern of movie shoot footage now.  Like TDKR, we see lots of footage but will probably only be for about a 5 minute scene.

However, these do have the usual Marvel look to them.

Monkeyfoot, did that happen once in a comic or have you said this before I've got mad de ja vu here? I hear what your saying mate that would be mental to see such a scene! I will look at the photo's but not watch nothing from now on..... although that d23 footage would be very, very tempting.

tallman, yeah it happened in the Avengers many moons ago. I think Mania did a list article on it about people picked it up. It was when Cap had stopped being Captain America and was just called the Captain. It seemed such a cool thing, it made a big impression on my malleable mind.
