The black jet could very well be the Bat-wing.
The fire rises.

The shooting process continues for director Christopher Nolan as he oversees the final installment of his Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises. With that comes numerous updates from across the web (via SuperHeroHype) in regards to the production taking place in Notthingham, England, home of the newly re-built Wayne Manor (real life Wollaton Hall). Watch video action from the set down below.
At the same time, two updates via a social networking site and the BBC news confirms that Nolan will once again be showing some high-flying aerial stunts in the third installment. A sound recording operator reports on his Twitter that 2 attack helicopters are being built in the same style as the new batmobile.
"'The Dark Knight Rises': Inside Info, they are Building 2 Attack Helicopters in the same design as the Bat Mobile from The Dark Knight! BOOM"
And the BBC expands on the possibility by reporting the following:
"Parachutists dressed in black and using a private jet painted black have been in action at Cairngorm Gliding Club's site at Feshie Bridge.
A former US military C130 Hercules transport aircraft linked to The Dark Knight Rises has also been making flights from Inverness Airport.
Feshie Bridge was reported as the location for filming earlier this month by Gavin Musgrove, editor of the Strathspey and Badenoch Herald.
A chartered helicopter was also at the club's airstrip along with the black jet."
Finally, the casting agency BeinaMovie.com reports that a lucky few in Pittsburgh will be able to attend a certain fictional football game with the following message:
"We'll be cheering on the Gotham Rogues Football team as they take the field against the Rapid City Monuments."
The Dark Knight Rises will arrive in theaters July 20, 2012.
I'll be honest; I hate it when they do this. Can we wait for the finished product before fishing for scraps?
This is pointless news and spoilers are not fun.
I'm fishing for a new take on Batman after this trilogy is finished. Nolan did a fair job with Batman, but I'd prefer something closer to the character's comic book universe. It is one reboot that I can say I am looking forward to.
Just keeps getting better and better.
Dark Knight Rises 2012 bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok. So lots of people want another re-boot after this. Which is VERY possible considering Nolan has stated that this is a trilogy and I am sure he wants to move on to other projects.
The 800 lb. question to me is who would they pick to be Batman/Bruce Wayne? Who would we pick? Out of all the actors to date, who would be the most awesome in the role? I for one am at a loss, but I guess I could go take a look around.
As for DKR I am excited about the prospects of a new Batcave. It had better be a proper Batcave. And I want to see more "invetigative" type stuff as if fitting for the world's greatest detective.
DKR should be a great advance of the story. Batman has to hide. He will have time to rebuild his manor, his cave. With some many great possibilities of villians and their stories this really could be amazing. I hope it doesn't turn into Batman Returns where there was just to much going on and too many story lines.
I'm a big fan of all of Nolan's films, including his Bat-universe. I think Batman was an excellent choice to turn into a crime drama series. However, because of this genre bending I don't love them in the same way that I love some other comic movies like, Iron Man, Spider Man 1&2, Incredible Hulk, etc. I don't find that Nolan's Bat films have the replay value of other fun action films, and that is part of what I'm looking for in my comic book movies. It seems a bit silly, because I don't want to spend a ton of time rewatching movies but it's nice to turn on an old favorite every now and then.
I'm looking forward to this film, but I will most likely only see it once. They remind me of movies like Heat, The Departed, or Goodfellas in a way...I like them, but have no need to see them again. BUT, I will take these anyday over that crap that Shumaker barfed onto our movie screens...
I think this Trilogy was the PERFECT way to bring Batman to the big screen, and once it's out of the way I want to see Batman return to the small screen for a proper full on live action tv series set within a larger DC Universe with a Henry Cavill cameo in the pilot, it's the only way to do ALL the characters justice.
The reason Harvey HAD to die in TDK and why they need to wrap up the story in TDKR...
Maybe do another movie, but only at least one seaon on TV
And yes Batman needs to be a detective drama seies with elements of police procdural...
hmm... Batcopter?
or as Ahnuld would say "geet to the bat-choppa"
and why would he say this? because we aren't going to put him in the cooler...
