20th Century Fox has announced they will make a sequel to FANTASTIC FOUR. Tim Story will once again direct from a script by Mark Frost.

Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis are expected to return for the sequel since their original deals were for three films. Julian McMahon, who played Victor Von Doom, in the first film, will not be back.

The film is set to be released on July 4, 2007.

Oregandude has some issues... I have to believe that (like Wessmith) the sequel will be better because the Origin is now out of the way. As much as I loved the 1st Superman, the pacing was halting in the first film due to having to do the origin. Superman II was much much better because the origin was out of the way. Now, before I get blasted, I'm not putting FF1 in the same league with Sups, but I think that FF2 can be better now that time won't have to be wasted explaining anything. In fact, Galactus and Silver Surfer would be awesome, as long as they don't kiddy it up. Thank god Julian McMahon is not back. I liked him in "Charmed", but yuck his performance as Doom sucked eggs. I look forward to a better movie.

I liked the FF movie. It was funny. Great comedy action movie, not much else. Spiderman was great. Spiderman 2 was good, not great. X-men 1 and 2 were great. Bring on FF 2. These are fun characters. They could make a great movie with them.

sad but true dragon... sad but true... the only way Serenity would get a sequel greenlighted was if it at least broke even, which, it didn't. Still there is slim hope that DVD sales may propel another film... well at least I'm hoping.

I think that everyone realizes what your saying. This is the fun of taking a critical look at these films. For the record, the "Director's Cut" of Daredevil improved on that film by a whole letter grade of C to B ... kick ass. I'm happy with adaptations that are "in the spirit" of the comic origin. I'm not a slave to the comics. The concept of Spidey's web coming out of his hands was a stroke of brilliance. There are other lesser examples, but that's the biggest.
