A photo of a familiar bank vault has made its way online today with some more Man of Steel set photos arriving out of Illinois. BeforeTheTrailer is showing off this latest batch of snapshots from the Zack Snyder-led set and as you'll see below, a vault is one of the images. It could be the very same that was displayed in last week's first official glimpse of Henry Cavill in his Superman outfit. Check them out below and sound off with your thoughts.

Man of Steel will star Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Russell Crowe, Julia Ormond, Christopher Meloni, Harry Lennix and Laurence Fishburne. Snyder is directing from a screenplay by David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan.

The film will fly into theaters June 14, 2013.

Looks like the leftovers of one of my drunken tirades.

The cars look to be older models so I'm wondering if these are scenes from Clark Kent's youth.

Oh no, hopefully not another version of the meterorite/ spaceship crash when he was a nipper. Still I'd like to have that smashed safe door propped up somewhere in my house!

lol monkey!

Mmm, destruction.  This is more intesting to say the least than the Kent farm.  I want to see more pics of Cavill as Supes and what Zod looks like all done up  in his costume.  Then I will be more impressed.

The BIGGEST problem with reboots is the constant rehashing of the origin story.  I know some smart ass movie nerd is gonna post saying that we haven't had the origin story done since the first Christopher Reeve movie, but dammit, aren't you tired of seeing the same story told over and over?  With iconic characters like Supes and Spidey, audiences have already been exposed to their origins repeatedly through several media.  Give us something new, like an adaptation of an actual storyline from an actual comic.

Wiseguy 8/12/2011 12:48:15 PM

reek but we haven't seen Superman's origin since the original Christopher Reeves film over 30 years ago ;->

Nah I totally agree with you. I personally love origin tales but we need to stop going back to the beginning on major characters who's origin have been done or are common knowledge for mainstream fans

Wiseguy 8/12/2011 12:56:57 PM

Btw, I'm glad Nolan is busy with TDKR. I don't want him fucking this up

ThemanG01 8/12/2011 1:27:32 PM

It doesn't matter who's directing it.  It's Superman, it's bound to be at least as horrible as Cameron's last two movies for that fact alone.

Wiseguy, I'm sorry, but every time you say something like what you said in your last post, I look over at your avatar and shake my head and sigh. Snyder left on his own will destroy this movie (look at the horrific Sucker Punch, for an example). Nolan's expertise in plotting out a movie so it doesn't look like it was made by a child with ADHD on an extreme sugar high, could only benefit Snyder and reel him back down to Earth to make a watchable movie (hopefully without any of the stupidly cliched slo-mo/speed up scenes).

I didnt think there was anything wrong w/ Sucker Punch. You guys just dont get it!!!
