Right, so Sucker Punch was a one off while 300 and Watchmen kicked all mighty ass.  Snyder, Goyer, and Nolan = BAD ASS MOVIE.  period.

 Violater, I got Sucker Punch....I got that it was a few videogame cut scenes (that if you've played a video game in the past 20 years, you've seen before) put loosely together by a bad narrative and even worse acting and dialog. 

Axia, 300 worked because no one had seen the style before, but repeating it over and over again in subsequent films made it cliched. Watchmen was boring. Technically, Synder recreated Dave Gibbons artwork perfectly. Unfortunately, the heart of the movie just wasn't there to make you really care. 

Jarrod, Nolan's brother is overseeing Synder (from what I've heard). Warner Bros. stripped Synder of his usual workcrew after how badly Sucker Punch came out. Snyder was put on the short leash after Sucker Punch lost them the amount of money that it did. Also, since Singer blew a large amount of money on unused footage for his Superstalker movie, Warner Bros. definitely isn't going to let the same thing happen with Snyder pissing away money on ideas that don't get approved by committee first.

While I'm not holding out any hopes for this version of Superman, I'm fairly sure that it couldn't be any worse than Singer's flop. Because let's face it, Singer set the bar pretty damn low and the only place to go from there is up. 

Better get Geico!

Yeah, Sucker Punch sucked balls. But even great directors mess up. War of the Worlds anybody? I mean - a movie about interpretive dance? Come on.

I felt Tony Scott should have got the directors job ... something different

reek ,I 100% agree with you...this constant need to re-invent the wheel is just sad.Look at all the latest superhero franchises... the second movie is always the best, because they got past the origin and focused on making a great story with a great villian. Why tell Supermans origin again... everybody knows it... get on to Doomsday... or better yet Darksied and the New Gods.

Looks and sounds great.  Im glad Nolan has some input on this reboot.  Adding a bit more class to an otherwise forgotten franchise.

@Violator14, SuckerPunch was horrible for one reason in my book. The premise. You had underage girls getting raped by their captors, and escaping into thier make believe world to fight back. Sick and deserving of a R rating, certianly not a pg-13. I don't think kiddie porn should be onscreen for public consumption. I feel dirty for paying to see it.

I'm not holding up hopes for this movie. The suit so far looks subpar. The actor doesn't look the part IMO and we get ZOD.

 I love all of the Comic Book Guy sniffing and superiority!  LOL~
