More Matrix Movies?!

The Rumor is Circulating

By Robert T. Trate     March 01, 2014
Source: Latino Review

With any news from Latino Review we always have to take it with a grain of salt. It’s funny though how a little news story there gets scoffed at, then weeks later it is in USA Today and we forget all about them. Well Latino Review has another one and the internet is a blaze with it. Take it with a grain of salt, but the rumor is that The Matrix might be returning. Check out he story below from Kellvin Chavez:

"The Wachowski siblings have a very long history over at Warner Bros. but with the exception of the Matrix Trilogy, none of their movies have had great financial success.

Speed Racer/Cloud Atlas tanked and let’s not kid ourselves, by the looks of it, Jupiter Ascending will not be much better.

We’ve been told that the Wachowski’s have already started the writing process with early treatments and outlines already turned into the studio.

No word if they will want to direct but my money says “Claro que Si!”.

Warner Bros. is desperate for a surefire franchise and will be making a push to have the new Matrix films ready to up against any new Star Wars and Avatar films by 2017.

So the big question, will Mr. Anderson be back? Who knows!! One of the early outlines was about the birth of the Matrix and now that WB is Terminator-less, some of suits would like to explore that early world but it’s way too early and the story is still very fluid".
Do we need to revisit this universe? Do we need Keanu Reeves back? Let us hear your thoughts Maniacs!

The first one was good - the next two - not so much.  Not really interested in seeing any more - certainly won't be paying for them... Maybe wait until there are on Netflix or cable.  And there's no way I would consider any more in this series a 'surefire franchise.'

Some of the most exciting, best coreographed moments in cinematichistory IMO came from the Matrix trilogy - ALL three of them!

#1 blew my mind. The other two... were good. Would Will Smith take the lead? He turned down Neo once... will he do it again? Clearly no Sean Connery this time, is he still alive?

First one was great, second one sucked, third, well, never saw it.

I love the first one, the second one was ok. It had great action scenes.  The third one really lost me but the last fight reminded me of Dragonball Z.

latinoreviews gets it right once in a while but they seem to fly off with any rumor their supposed sources tells them and runs with that and whatever conclusions you can make. Just keep throwing shit at the walls and something is bound to stick.

Having said that this world has many possibilities that could be really cool like the Animatrix showed. Or they could go straight up sequel because that truce can't last

Will and Jaden Smith will star as Morpheus and Neo respectively.....

violator14 3/1/2014 12:40:01 PM

Oh hell yea!!!! Like it or not, the Matrix trilogy are classics and all 3 movies blew my mind in their own ways. I'm all for this before the world ends.
