More photos from Thor: The Dark World have hit the net. Comicbookmovie.com has several new pictures that reveal some in between moments of a huge battle. Personally, I like the blending of the old Norse World with the tech that some of those Marauders are carrying. The other thing to take notice here is the lack of green scree prosthetics. Will real world effects dominate the characters in Thor 2?

Some of the extras that look human probably have their creature masks off. You can tell who wore them from the black eye makeup. It also looks like there are combatants using sci-fi type energy blasters.  That doesn't look like Asgardian style weapons so they could be from somewhere else. But then again Marvel movie-verse Asgard is supposed to be advanced aliens with a LARP fetish so they could be natives.

Someone plz tell me how this universe fits in with the Avengers universe? I mean it looks like LOTR like someone pointed out and I just don't get how that fits into the modern times of Avengers..Is Thor traveling to  differnt universes and planets or is he time traveling? It's confusing to say the least...
