I agree I'm excited about this movie, I got over the timeline with character changes a long time ago... this movie will be good. Mark my words.

Most people will like this simply because they expect to dislike it. When expectations are so low, something even mildly entertaining can seem grand in comparison. I think most peoples biggest disappointment will come from Thor, when they realize that he's only Thor for the 1st and last 25 minutes of the movie, and spends the rest of the time as a de-powered fish out of water mortal. The scene where he's in the diner smashing the coffee cup on the floor, expect an hour of that with really cool book ends. So yeah, gimme X-Men, no expectations means no disappointment, and hey, other than the color, tey got Magneto's helmet right. Im excited just for that. I could never figure out why Singer thought the dorky helmet they gave him was somehow better than the dorky helmet he already had.

Matthew Vaughan hasnt made or produced a bad film yet. I wouldnt worry, it'll be good.

As a lifelong X-men fan, I'm stoked! I'll be in theaters opening day for this one.I love that it's a period piece, and they pulled it off judging by these pics.

Looks ok and pretty good at points but Mystique looks like the fx were done in 1990

I agree you have to give the new Director nad crew a chance and I hope it suprises me but...

It worries me.

All the promos for this movie look like a 12 year old photoshopped them on his commodore 64, maybe they are taking the whole 50 yrs ago thing to seriously.

Everthing seems kinda rushed like they had too get it made really quick and on the dodge.

I think it is going to be a pile of crap and another horrible attempt to bring this great story to the big screen.

What's the deal with these sorry ass posters?

All in all, it still looks all right.  I guess I'm just a little X-Men-ed out and looking forward to something new like Thor, Cap and GL.  But that's because we haven't seen them done proper justice on film yet.  The X-Men movies may have their faults (screwed up timeline, truncating the role of important characters, being entirely Wolverine-centric), but in terms of making a comic book movie franchise that's accessible and enjoyable for the general viewing public, I'd say they've accomplished that goal.  I guess I just really want to see if the other franchises have a chance of recapturing that lightning.  I want to see Thor and Captain America reach Iron Man quality, so that we know we're in for a hell of an Avengers flick.  And I want to see if Green Lantern has what it takes to be sort of the Dark Knight of space/sci-fi films.  I'll definitely give First Class a look, though.  It looks like it has some pretty cool effects and action as well as actors that seem right at home in iconic roles like Xavier and Magneto.

Count me in the X-men-ed catagory and Spiderman-ed out as well. Just hope that the viewing public isn't superhero-ed out and the genre isn't due for a crash landing.
