Scooper 'Hollow Man' sent me in the following tid bit:

Hi Guys -

In the latest issue of ESQUIRE magazine, it states that ROBIN WILLIAMS is involved in a "MORK & MINDY" movie. It's short and sweet, just mentioning that he is involved and that "Pam Dawber, your boat has come in".

Thank god Williams will be Mork again.... you couldn't imagine it with anyone else in the lead role!!

Pam Dawber mentioned this a while back on Dark Horizons actually, saying "Robin and I were speaking at a function, and he's the one who said he'd love to do a 'Mork' movie sometime - and what's great about Robin is that wouldn't even consider doing it if the original cast didn't return. About six, seven months later, I had a call from Miller-Milkis who said that it was a possibility, and if it happened - would I like to do it. It took me all of five seconds to scream yes. But to cut a long story short, it was put in the pipeline, but Robin had just been so busy with all his other movies that we didn't have time for this one. Everytime we bump into each other though, he still insists we are going to do it one day - a Robin promise. I look forward to it, it'll be such a blast".

Thanks for dropping me a line!

I am not sure what is worse, hearing about yet another movie about a 70's tv show, or ehearing about one with the original cast coming back. I loved Mork and Mindy (well until the last season) but Robin Williams is not the same Robin Williams. I am not sure how the whole aging backwards thing is supposed to work when Robin is 30 years older now. Oh my god...could it be a prequel? Oh god help me.

I can't believe Williams is that hard up for a movie role. Maybe he IS coked up again and has gone through all his money paying for the habit. In any case, it would have to be a prequel, since Orkans (Orkites? Orkins?) age backwards. But then Mindy would look too old. Maybe they'll use the X3 technology that they used to make Patrick Stewart & Ian McKellan look younger. God, I am such a geek.

Can't do this movie without Robin Williams. He IS Mork. Maybe they'll bring in Fonzie and do another crossover which will lead to a Happy Days movie.

"That does it. I quit Earth." HA! funny. me, too. Didnt he win an Oscar or something? Jesus... This seems like such a step back, but considering RV, who knows. I seem to vaguely remember a day when Robin was funny. Then I turned 12.

That's great Maineyac. I'll go waaaaay back and say Automan. Or maybe Misfits of Science would make a better movie if anyone out there even remembers that. Oh wait they did, it's called Xmen. Crap it's harder than it looks.

I heard Tom Hanks is considering reprising his role in "Bosom Buddies" for the big screen version of the "classic" TV show.
