Grant Morrison said that the movie version of his cyborg pet comic \'We3\' is "looking good" with a big name director attached and a script that improves on the source material." />
Does the filmed adaptation of Grant Morrison's 'We3' have a director? Morrison talks to MTV's Spash Page blog about the movie and how it differs from the comic.
"We have a director attached," Morrison apparently revealed but was otherwise mum on details. He would only say that it was a "big, hot director" as well as a "real cool guy."
What is interesting is Morrison's assessment that his story for the movie is better than the story in the comics, which was quite a good read.
"I put all the scenes that I couldn't fit in the comic back in the screenplay, to the point where the screenplay is actually better than the original comic," he told MTV. The script has been well-reviewed by various websites which has helped the buzz of the film.
Initially 'We3' was set up at New Line Cinema, which recently imploded into Warner Bros and set the project adrift. Now the hunt is on for a new home.
"We're going out with it now to the studios, and a lot of studios are interested. It's looking as good as it's been in a long time."
