A CANDYMAN Remake in The Works? - Aug 16, 2008 - 07:26am
From The Forbidden: "He was bright to the point of gaudiness: his flesh waxy yellow, his thin lips pale blue, his wild eyes glittering as if their irises were set with rubies. His jacket was patchwork, his trousers the same. He looked, she thought, almost ridiculous, with his blood-stained motley, and the hint of rouge on his jaundiced cheeks." (sorry, I couldn't resist, I'm a huge Barker honk) But, yeah, as far as I'm concerned Todd made that movie - Like recasting 'Nightmare' without Englund (or, for that matter, Hellraiser w/out Bradley), I find it hard to imagine anyone else playing The Candyman.

SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES: What He Beheld - Mar 06, 2008 - 06:21am
Let me tell ya... I have been nothing but pleased with this show since I originally had zero expectations of it being good when it first aired. Sure it's been clumsy in spots with some head scratching plot holes (or not - maybe I'm just missing where they explained a T-Head making it thru the future and suddenly going back online to go Connor hunting), but I'm thinking with the success of this first season FOX will allow more budget next season for better action (avoiding cost cutting scenes like the pool massacre) and the writers will step it up a notch and we will all be rewarded with an even better product. A bit of polishing here and there and we’ve got something really exciting to look forward to! … …That's what I'm hoping anyway.

Raimi Wants Maguire for SPIDER-MAN 4 - Nov 29, 2007 - 08:05am
Rock, Supercollector. You've just made part four with two villains unforceably inserted into a movie - something SM3 couldn't accomplish. I don't understand why we even needed a background story on the Sandman. These movies could have easily included lower-tiered villains (like Sandman, Electro, Rhino) at the beginning of each movie in a chase-and-capture scene to start the plot in motion. No need for origins, we won't really care where guys like The Shocker come around, just show him and Spidey beat the hell out of one another the first 10 minutes of the movie and THEN bring on Venom, Goblin(s) or Kraven as the main antagonist. That way we would be ecstatic to see some of our favorite villains on the big screen without cluttering up the movie. BTW, where the hell is Felicia Hardy? Why even introduce a Gwen Stacey at this point and not do a damn thing with her? At least Hardy would have given us something to speculate on for future movies as Dr. Connors has done. Bah. I love all three movies, but the third one really missed the mark!
