Carrie-Anne Moss is swapping her black vinyl duds for an IMF agent's clothing. The woman who played Trinity in the three MATRIX films has joined the cast of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3, playing a character that we know nothing about at present. Hers is the first casting addition to the film apart from Tom Cruise that is confirmed.

Moss may be playing IMF agent Leah Quint, a character uncovered last September by the FilmJerk website when casting information was sent to talent agencies by the production. "Leah has had extensive training with the IMF (Impossible Mission Force), starting her training with the agency right out of school," wrote FilmJerk's Edward Havens when his site broke the character details last year. "She has extensive experience for someone her age, a force to be considered with, as she can instantly turn into a person of steely resolve and toughness."

Filming on M:I 3 is now scheduled for an August start. Cruise, who remains a producer as well as leading man on the MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE films, is helping scout for locations in Africa.
