"(Okay, The Smurfs 2 technically follows it on July 31, but I refused to dignify such a steaming turd with a “big summer release” label.)"

You do realize this is a family film and they tend to generate a lot of cash. Sure, I wasn't a big fan of the first movie since it pretty much was not the books I use to read, but the first one still raked in 563 million worldwide. No love for the little blue ones? There are a lot of movies are your 2013 you mention that are probably worst turds and will rake in less cash (ex: Scary Movie 5)

The Desolation of Smaug continues the Hobbit cycle (hopefully with improved results)

How improved? You gave it a B rating. B is not good enough? 264 million domestic and 820 worldwide and counting. Should it make more money than that?

I'm glad they decided to shorten up the title on this movie "The Last Exorcism Part II" (No For Reals This Time) It was just too long.

I want a movie about a zombie dragon who attacks starships and crashes them on post apocalyptic planets and their crews of armored half human half CGI generated repulsor ray shooting warriors ravage the countryside and the only way to stop them is with giant robot superheroes fashioned to look like Stallone and Swarzenegger and commanded by a battle weary Bruce Willis who must also train his young recruit played by Chris Pine, who before was only a sideshow carny but must now learn the true magic inside himself to win the heart of his lady love Gemma Arterton from his rival Dwayne Johnson whose adamantine gifts have made him the best there is at what he does which is not very nice and now always wears a mask given to him by his Native American friend back when they fought demonic child-rearing spirits that hosted themselves in beautiful young girls and haunted houses with chainsaws..... HFR 3D.

You also forgot that this movie will be divided into two parts.

Monkeyfoot...don't waste time writing long comments about the movie you want...stop wasting your talent...and start writing the script.  Your movie sounds more interesting and makes more sense to me than Prometheus.

I need to see a trailer for The Wolverine before I can get really excited about it.

I am so excited over Man of Steel that when I saw the trailer for it in front of The Hobbit over the weekend I nearly teared up.  Such an awe-inspiring trailer.

I also have no interest in the following: A Good Day to Die Hard (crappy trailer and the allure of John McClane has worn out); GI Joe 2 (delaying a film by 9 months just to add Channing Tatum and 3D conversion reeks of a stinker of a film to me); The Lone Ranger (looks like a collossal flop); and Elysium (ENOUGH with the thinly-layered political/social commentary about class issues already!)

Oblivion, Iron Man 3, Star Trek: Into Darkness, Man of Steel, and Pacific Rim, and Monsters U are at the top of my spring/summer list.

For fall/winter Elysium, Enders Game, Thor: The Dark World, HG Catching Fire, Desolation of Smaug, Anchorman 2.

I am hoping for a few surprises with Great Gatsby and Jack Ryan reboot.

I enjoyed the smurfs and hope smurfs 2 will be just as good if not better.

Given all the hits, I'm curious to see what movies will suprise everyone. Remember, it's the quiet ones that are the best (or worst).
