To me this movie hasn't aged well. Not like other epic movies of the past. I found myself laughing at some of the acting.

bleh sorry can't get past the ridiculous love story.  Best advertizement I ever saw for this movie was on my college campus.  Watch dicaprio freeze to death...

I like this movie but, no way in any hell I would see this in 3D, will pass on this.

Wiseguy 4/5/2012 6:41:00 AM

I'll be seeing it for the first time this Saturday. Never really bothered because in truth it isn't the type of movie I'd normally see. But now that is back on the big screen and in 3D I'm going to take a gander.

I read they're already predicting anywhere between 20-30 million by the end of the weekend. Not bad for a re-release that's about 3 hours long so.......

brace yourselves for more 3D conversion re-releases...yippee! I want Cameron to do Aliens and his 2 Terminators. And True Lies too, some of those action scenes would look awesome in 3D

oh ... my ... goodness ...

mania actually and reviewed this .... lol

i barely survived my first and only viewing (with bits of fast forwarding) - no way i'm watching this in 3D

but i did love the score and soundtrack ... loved the music ... yes yes

Wiseguy-Hope you enjoy it for what it is. You have to take ur wife/gf with you obviously otherwise it won't have the same effect. For me this movie was kinda special, cuz i shared it with the love of my life whom i screwed over by cheating on her... (the one that got away). And this movie might have had more of an impact as a teenager on me cuz you know how our emotions are a lil more amplfiied at the time. So everytime i hear the music or watch this at all, it reminds me of her....  I think it was our generation's Twilight in a way, love story wise, but not as lame or tacky. Ok, that's enough soft side you guys will get out of me. haha

Titanic is good flick but I recently seen it on HBO or Cinemax a few weeks ago, don't know if I should go see it again in 3D.  I think I will though, I rather they rerelease movies than rape, i mean, remake them.

Oh and it ain't nothing like Twilight, watchu talking about Violator?  Not all love stories are Twilight.

Btw, Cameron dived to the deepest part of the ocean and the Avatar peeps are talking underwarter performance capture which basically means Avatar 2 will OWN!

violator14 4/5/2012 9:20:04 AM

Oh in NO WAY did i mean it was like Twilight. I meant it was our gerneration's "love story" to take chicks to and then bang them. Is that better?

Wiseguy 4/5/2012 9:25:55 AM

LOL, now that's the violator I know. After that first post I was about to break out the violin. And yeah the ol' lady is going too even though she has seen the film, we didn't even know each other back then.

and yeah hanso, I had been keeping up with Cameron's adventures. You know that cat is going to do something to push the envelope with the Avatar sequels and that underwater  performance capture along with a possible 60 frames per sec rate are just two of the things we know about

I remember going into OAC english my last year of high school, and saying how predictable to movie was... and then proceeded from just the trailers to go over the whole movie from beginning to end with every major plot point...and extrapolated much of the rest accurate enough that people didn't talk to me for a week.

The Teacher said... well ya but shows what you know... you didn't mention the part where Dicaprio goes into the bridge and steers the ship into an iceberg out of grief... (joking of course)

People thought this movie was just so deep and so original and unique. And it is just a cliched hollywood paint by the numbers love story.
