I forgot about Lincoln Vampire Hunter.  That too was shit.

also, I dont know why but I enjoyed Battleship, dont think its worse of any category.  Maybe i have a soft spot for Taylor Kitsch.  Clear eyes, full hearts, cant lose!  I thought Savages was his worst flick this year.

I don't think "Ghost Rider - Spirit of Vengance" should be named Worst Movie. That's what it wants.

Just don't acknowledge it, then maybe it'll crawl away into a cave somewhere and die...

LOL at both of you

Ghost Rider - Spirit of Vengeance is defiantly one of the worst movies of the year for sure.  That movies is huge crap.  Marvel should reboot that series with a new actor instead of Nic Cage because Ghost Rider is a great character and deserves better than this crap.

Axia, my thoughts exactly on Les Miserables, and this isn't the first time that a non-genre film was mentioned on this site in terms of a review be it a "best of list" or what have you.  It doesn't belong here and I too am astonished that it is!!  And Wise, my thoughts exactly about explaining to Almostunbiased about the word Genre and what it stands for, especially here.

I have been redomending that folks don't waste their time and money on Skyfall.

Damn this thread is all over the place. haha

I saw Django last night. It was pretty funny and well done, but i do think it dragged in the end a bit. Should have been easily a 2 hr movie at most. Dicaprio should get an Oscar for his role as Calvin Candie. He was smooth, dynamic, & ruthless as hell at the same time. Can't really imagine anyone else that could have done better imo. As for my favorite films,

5. Prometheus

4. End of Watch

3. Life of Pi

2. The Hobbit

1. Ya'll know it baby... AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!!!

Maybe not the best action flick, but The Raid : Redemption was surprizingly entertaining from beginning to end.  Worth a mention anyway.  Best subtitled flick?

Can't argue with anyone's list of best movies...though I might prefer the word favorite to best

Whatever you think the best movies are...they are...end of story

It's like when I go to an Art Museum with someone and they ask me (because I've had an Art Education) "Is that a good painting?"  I'll answer..."Do you like it?"  If they say yes...I'll reply "Than it's a good painting."

I dislike artistic snobbery.  No one's opinion is worth anymore than anyone elses.

I prefer people who pick their favorite movies for emotional rather than intellectual reasons.

Winning an Oscar is not like winning the Superbowl.  The Golden Globes...Academy Awards et al are popularity contests.  Popularity is not a barometer of cinematic excellance (not sure what is).

It' s refreshing to hear someone say...I don't care what anyone else says...I like it.
