Live action goth-loli, can it work?

One element from the manga that hasn't made it over until now is the character that dresses up in the goth-loli clothes. While you can get away easily with cheerleading outfits and the like, having someone dressed like this throughout the course of the episode can take you out of the show. It's something that works in manga because it's been such a part of it for so long, and similar when it comes to anime, but live action is a different beast and such a thing can come across really awkwardly. On the positive side, if you like the outfits (like I do), it definitely adds an interesting bit of eye candy to the show.
Itsuki's brewing vault has come online now and he's got it set up so that it'll run 24/7 as he's even made sure to bring in someplace for people to sleep. That's not something that the guys are all that thrilled about, but Itsuki has a plan to alleviate some of their stresses by giving them a bottle of aphrodisiac to use. If they can get themselves hooked up somehow for a bit, they'll be a little less stressed and more likely to work the kind of hours that the professor is talking about. The group comes up with some interesting fantasies that play out in a dreamlike state which explores their personalities in quick and easy to digest form. And it lets the leading ladies of the series have a couple more sexy moments to play with as well.
The aphrodisiac takes a few interesting turns until eventually Sawaki is approached by the mysterious goth-loli girl for a date. At the same time, Kawahama makes his play for Aya at the bar by wearing a full on Mexican outfit to try and stand out while slipping in the goods to the drink for her to try but it ends up going to someone else. What's even more amusing is that Itsuki tries to use the goods on Hasegawa, though she's not exactly up to drinking at the moment. The various misadventures all the guys end up on in an effort to get lucky in some form provide for quite a few laughs. Those that take the drink seem to change, though you wonder how much is attributed to something else, yet it doesn't matter if they're just drunk or using the aphrodisiac. When they loosen up in some form, they're definitely a lot more interesting since the unpredictability factor goes up.
When you play with aphrodisiacs, you never know what you'll end up with but you will have fun along the way. Moyashimon is no exception as it has everyone playing around to different extents and it's fun to see how they are when they're not as inhibited. This episode also marks the introduction of the goth-loli girl, who goes unnamed throughout it, and it proves once again that while cute in manga and anime, looks ridiculous in person. That the show ends on a cliffhanger of sorts is the best though since it means we either get more of what we're seeing here or the repercussions of it. I'm hoping for both in spades since it'd be interesting to see if anyone really gets lucky and then to watch the fallout. Moyashimon is a good bit of fun here as it plays around with love and desire with the cast in a way that it needed to in order to break the ice a little.
