Hey there. >Jerry Goldsmith however is doing the music for this film as he has done since the very first film. Don't think so. He passed away last year. Maybe Joel Goldsmith would be a good candidate, but I'd rather hear someone take a more modern stab at the whole Trek theme. As for the whole prequel idea, seems a bit silly, but I have a little faith that J.J. Abrams will pull it off.
