Does anyone remember them?

Here is the extended trailer for Mr. Peabody & Sherman. I was little shocked to learn that Dreamworks had a made a film out of such an ancient cartoon. Rocky and Bullwinkle failed to connect with modern audiences, so will this concept work? I loved this cartoon as a kid and the animation looks great. The final verdict on Mr. Peabody & Sherman arrives this March.

Synopsis: Using his most ingenious invention, the WABAC machine, Mr. Peabody and his adopted boy Sherman hurtle back in time to experience world-changing events first-hand and interact with some of the greatest characters of all time. They find themselves in a race to repair history and save the future.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman is directed by Rob Minkoff (The Lion King), and features the voice talents of Ty Burrell as Mr. Peabody, Max Charles as Sherman, and Stephen Colbert as Paul Peterson.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman arrives in theaters March 7th, 2014.

I can't wait for this one.  I hope they play it smart overall.  Old toons had sharp wit to them.

Wasn't the modern Rocky & Bullwinkle live action with CGI?  I think this will probably do fine because it's pure CGI, kids eat that stuff up.

Agree goldeneyez.

CG toons are always surefire hits, especially Dreamworks stuff. The kids won't have a clue who these characters are. It will be their parents and grandparents.

Plus March family movie releases are usually pretty solid. The Lorax, Alice in Wonderland, Oz the Great and Powerful, etc...

I'm sure I will end up taking the kids to see this during our March break.

This looks great nice to know my kids will see a cartoon from my childhood and be in to it

This looks pretty good to me.

I find myself wanting to claim the original cartoons as my generation, but kids in the early 1960s were watching them 15 years before I did. Not unlike The Brady Bunch, which ended its run when I was only two.

Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor.  I had no idea they were making this movie!

I loved Peabody & Sherman.  Think Rocky & Bullwinkle were all reruns when I watched them.  I do remember that we had a guy that went to my church that we all thought looked like Mr. Peabody.  :)

This looks decent for a film aimed at the younger crowd (as it should be).  I likely will not catch this flick in the theatres, but I hope it does well.
