Mugen no Ryvius TV Vol. #1

What They Say

The Review!
Kouzi Aiba and the other main characters (there are too many to name) all live on a space station just above earth. After an apparent foul-up, the lives in the station are changed as they are forced to escape to a mysterious ship called Ryvius.

The first two episodes of this series give you a nice feel for the characters. Relationships, may they be broken later or not, are firmly placed as well. The CGI is very well done and does not distract from the real animation or storyline. The menu was nice but a bit far without any extras. During first pressing, the first DVD came with a lot of extra goodies such as: A box to hold all 6 DVDs, Ryvius magazine issue #1, transparent card for one of the characters, and a copy of Beat Magazine #4.

The Amaray case was very nicely done. The bind stating the volume number as well as English title and Japanese title. The back has a summary of both episodes with pictures all over the back of the case. The front is just as nice to the eyes.

The video, from start to finish, is very crisp with no signs of problem. The audio was clear enough to hear background sounds as well as character voices with no problem of drowning the other out.
