Music Machine

If TERMINATOR fans had their way, Marco Beltrami would never have scored T3: RISE OF THE MACHINES.
The moment Beltrami, noted for his squeamish scores for trendy horror films like SCREAM, MIMIC, THE CROW: SALVATION and DRACULA 2000, was announced as T3's composer, fans of the first two movies raised a major hue and cry. They objected to Beltrami's having displaced composer Brad Fiedel, who had defined the relentlessly mechanical TERMINATOR sound in the first two films.
But T3 director Jonathan Mostow wanted to put a new spin on the classic character, and opted for a different composer to give the project a fresh musical direction. Beltrami was chosen over stiff competition to compose and record 85 minutes of music, using a 95-piece orchestra, a large choir and an array of electronic enhancements.
