After creating sonic images for such bands as Korn, Meat Loaf, Sisqo and P. Diddy, commercial and music video director Martin Weisz will make his feature film debut with the action/thriller SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL. To be produced by Family Room Entertainment, the picture was written by Mike Jensen and will start filming in early 2005.
The movie is about a vigilante who sets out on a mission of violence, determined to bring down a gang of crime bosses and the thugs that work for them.
Said Saturday Night Entertainment co-chairmen Randall Emmett and George Furla, "We are very excited about SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL. We have been trying to put together a project with Martin for quite some time; and we have finally found a project that, we believe, works for all of us." Furla and Emmett have producer credits on more than two dozen of films including NARC and the upcoming THE AMITYVILLE HORROR and EDISON films.
So far no information about the film's cast has been released.
