Kananaskisis a town under siege. TheCalgary Sun (via Jam!Showbiz) reports that a horde of mutants has descended upon the Calgary Alberta town for the final week of filming for next summer's highlyanticipated X-Men 2.
The final week of filming began Wednesday. The area is to serve as the setting for the climaticsnow bound conclusion for the film. The Sun wrote that theweather has not cooperated. The production has created over 40,000 tonsof artificial snow.
X-Men 2's cast andcrew appear to still be having a great time even as the shoot nears conclusion.Hugh Jackman told The Sun, "This is like summer camp because it'sour final week. Even at 5:30 in the morning, it's good."
The production has it's ownmakeshift X-Mansion in the form of Kananskis' Delta Lodge. The Lodge has321 rooms and the Cast and crew of X2 are using the majority. Thehotel offers a variety of luxury services to heroes and villains lookingto relax: aromatherapy treatments, facials, manicures, and a spa and fitnesscenter.
The Sun estimatedthat X-Men 2 would generate $1 million in revenue for the Albertaeconomy.
