The film version of B. Clay Moore and Eric Kim's upcoming comic 'Billy Smoke' now has a director to go with its leading man.

Jeffrey Nachmanoff, who wrote and directed 'Traitor' is now set to helm the adaptation which will start 'Lost''s Matthew Fox.

The book, coming later this year from Oni Press, tells the story of an elite hit man who is nearly killed during a botched job. He realizes that his only way to find redemption is to rid the world of all assassins.

The film is set up as a Warner Bros. movie. Basil Iwanyk's Thunder Road is producing along with Oni's Eric Gitter (via Closed on Mondays Entertainment). Oni's Peter Schwerin is an executive producer.

Thanks to Antonello Blueberry for the submission.

Sounds cool.  For the record, I need no more slow-motion, multigun, spinning in a circle gun fights.  A good story with defined, interesting characters will suffice.

Sounds good to me, avidfan.
