The Review!
4 out of 5
Music found in the Nadia series The Secret of Blue Water.

This CD comes with a three-page insert. The insert contains a quick look at a few soundtrack titles available through ADV. And the final page has theCD credits.

A great vocal track by the name of Why is it so? Starts this CD off, and it starts it off with a bang. Yuko Mizutani, the same vocalist that brought you the Kiki's Delivery Service theme song, gets the listener off with fun, fun and more fun. The joy that comes through in the singer's voice is just as infectious as the laughter of a child, and it keeps you up throughout the entire selection.

Toshiharu Sakurai, who was the vocals for the opening to Otaku no Video, joined Kenyuu Horiuchi and Kumiko Takizawa to bring in a vocal explosion that is nothing but pleasing. Track 18, Trio of Love, keeps in line with the bouncy feel of the Nadia vocals, and is nothing if not amusing. Joining in on the vocal fun is Noriko Hidaka, of Japanese radio fame. Has lent her vocals again to an anime soundtrack, you may remember her catchy voice in the ending of Gunbuster. Yoshino Takamori of Bubble Gum Crisis (the original) fame. The two bring in their own charms on track 19 First Love. A very sweet song, that can only please.

The music that is not lacking in any way is the instrumentals that make up the rest of the CD. They have that great ability to wrap around the listener and drag you into an emotional roller coaster that leaves you begging for more. The classical European style of instrumental is prominent in this CD, and it is a true inspiration to the listener. There is not a let down in any of these instrumentals. They range from the slower tearjerker to the intense suspense filled numbers that had me on the edge of my seat throughout. A great listen all the way through. And with composers Yoshimasa Inoue, who worked on the Dirty pair soundtrack, Shiro Sagisu, whom you may remember from the Kimagure Orange Road or Neon Genesis Evangelion. The compositions are up to par with what one would expect from these great composers, and their individual works are only surpassed by their collaborations. A wonderful world of sounds that is a truly pleasing listen.

I'd have to say beautiful, in many ways.
