When I moved out of my parents' house some years back, most of my money had to go to rent and food. This is a pretty crummy arrangement, and someone ought to inform the city and God that I have better things to spend my money on. Nevertheless, I had to deal with a very sparse game collection for a long time. Now that I'm back on my feet, I'm slogging through a backlog.
There are worse fates in life, I suppose. I've since picked up on the art of multigaming. Here's what I'm working on:
Half-Life 2 on Xbox 360 (I'm having flashbacks to Concerned)
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on Xbox 360 (one of my all-time favourite games, but I can't quite finish it in my sleep. I'm working on th--zzzz...DRACULA! IN THE NAME OF MY MOTHER--)
Resident Evil 4 on the Wii
Secret of Mana on the Virtual Console (another favourite--I intend to perfect this one standing on my head)
No More Heroes on the Wii
I'll also be picking over the bones of Dragon Quest IV on the Nintendo DS. Check out my review. It'll put hair on your chest.
So, you can look forward to me doing some mouthing off about the above titles in the coming days--at least until I'm distracted by the latest big shiny release.
"Wait. If you're playing Half-Life 2 then surely you're going to play Portal, right?"
Yes, of course I will. Upon pain of my fingers growing into wooden slats. But, er, I admit I'm putting it off. I suffer some from pretty intense motion sickness, and the way I hear it, Portal has felled people with stronger stomachs than mine.
