What They Say
Exotic Places, Sexy Spies... But this is no vacation!!! Special agent Najica and her wide-eyed sidekick, Lila, have been assigned the task of recovering Humaritts from their current masters. This time, their mission will take them far beyond the airtight walls of CRI and send them on a whirlwind search around the globe. Luxury ocean-liners, exotic and tropical ports-of-call... This is looking less like secret agent work and more like an all-expenses-paid getaway, but Najica and her right-arm gal will see some serious action before they get to work on their tans!

The Review
The Review: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
When you've got a sexy secret agent and her lolita android partner, where do you send her? To an all-girl's school. A student is being targeted by assassins who are trying to blackmail her father, so Lila goes undercover as a student. Najica goes along as a researcher studying school-life. There's not much story, but there sure is a great cat-fight at the end of the chapter. Next, the go on a cruise to watch over the signing of a peace treaty to end a violent civil war. The side story is the recovery of another Humaritt. Next, Lila, with some training by the lecherous Gento, enters an idol competition in order to protect the participants from the death threats of an enraged fan. Another chapter has the pair donning bio-suits to discover what's happened to a research facility. The final chapter has the duo going to a remote island to recover a Humaritt from a retired biological researcher.

Najica can be described as James Bond in a mini-skirt. A very mini-skirt. Studio Fantasia, the creators of the Najica Blitz Tactics anime this manga is based on, are know for loving the panty shot, and this book delivers the goods. However, both Najica and her Humaritt partner Lila seem to have undergone breast enhancement procedures in the move from anime to manga. Surprisinly, there is even some nudity in this volume, something that wasn't in the anime. So why am I spending so much time talking about how the women look? Because that's what Najica is all about. The plots of each chapter are all straight-forward, with no real surprises. The real reason for buying this book is to stare at Najica's huge breasts and Lila's adorable derriere. The action sequences are really there just so we can watch everything moving, bouncing and jiggling. That's not all bad. Although Takuya Tashiro's artwork isn't especially unique, he does a good job of capturing the physical charms of Najica, Lila, and the other sexy women and Humaritts that show up in each chapter. I would have preferred that at least some time was taken in exploring Najica's attempts to break Lila out of her programming, but that angle of the story gets glossed over in this volume.

The cover is a dramatic image of Najica in a sexy Chinese-style dress, holding a gun in each hand and showing plenty of cleavage. There are three pages of humorous 4-panel gag comics in the back and a page of translator's notes, always a welcome extra. Najica Blitz Tactics doesn't require a lot of thinking, but if you like the combination of sexy women and action manga, then you'll like this one. However, if you value story over breasts, give this one a miss.
