I enjoyed Naomi Watts' performance in King Kong. Her being attached to this is the first piece of good news about this Birds remake.

This is the past speaking "Stop remaking my movies!!! Get your own damn ideas!!"

Cute Ponyboy, cute. 'Your' movie? I really doubt they will come close to the original but why not. Just waiting for the remake of some of my favs(The Last Chase, Buckaroo Bonzai: AT8D, The Last Starfighter). You know the last one mentioned has real potential due to the fact that you could easily have a young man or woman who constantly plays an XBOX or PLAYSTATION game where your a pilot in a galactic battle then find out it was based on a real war, and the game designer was really aa alien pilot in that conflict. Sorry, too much coffee, no sleep, no play, makes me little crazy.

The movie will have Naomi looking hot as always, will be shot too look rich in colors and mood, have great special effects when it comes to the birds, and have nowhere near the impact of the original. Plus, it'll spark another round of "the animal goes wild." I'll pass.

Why not? Because of what turned out to be the actual nonsense of the remake of 'Psycho'. That's why not (just my personal opinion.... Yeah, it was intriguing and had it's allure for me as a kid (probably not the intended audience, it's supposed to be for the older crowd, right?) but for me, it is silly and trifling (again, my personal opinion, not treading upon anyone else's). I may not possess the consumate knowledge of that of an ornithologist, but some director DUDE motivated by whatever mysterious whimsy that has taken hold of him ,the idea and the pretense of going through the effort of remaking a film already made by a well-reknowned director about mysteriously belligerent ornithorpes, which on reflection, is torturously passe. This is NOT a 'high-brow' of an opinion. I'm dead serious and this is how I regard it. To me, this is another director DUDE and yet another pointless, whimsically aimless effort.

Naomi is a beautiful woman and a good actress. I hope the movie merits her involvement. #8, if you like Last Starfighter that much I recommend you read Ender's War by Orson Scott Card if you haven't already. Actually, I recommend that everyone read it.
