Just watched this episode and I have to agree with your summary. Now that fullmetal is over this is the show to watch weekly now and I really like it.

What I would like to know is why there is so much bad filler. When something like this could be made into multiple episodes. Instead of just dumping random new characters that don't add anything to the world why not work with the creator and build something.

I understand this wouldn't work with many animes but Naruto does seem to have some good points to fill out the world. Would people not be interested to see more of this then some guy blowing bubbles?
