What They Say
Chisato is in love with Shoma and so is her twin sister, Kuu. Kuu voyeuristically watches Shoma and Chisato having sex in the hot tub, becomes wet & jealous and storms out of the house determined to make it on her own. Fantasy becomes reality when an ex lover of Shoma reappears and she pulls Chisato into their den of sexual debauchery. This three way love affair will complicate things ... what will Kuu and Chisato decide to do?

The Review!
The strange relationships continue and begin to change due to some interesting outside influences.

Audio:
Adult Source Media again covers its bases by providing both an English and Japanese language track for this release. In listening to both tracks, the show sports what you'd basically expect of a stereo mix for an adult title in that it's essentially dialogue driven. There isn't much in the way of really noticeable directionality but both tracks do feel somewhat louder than usual in comparison to other shows. In shifting from a mainstream release to this I had to notch it down by four to get a comparable level and even then it felt louder. Dialogue is clean and clear throughout however and we had no problems with dropouts or distortions during regular playback.

Video:
Originally released in 2005, the transfer for this OVA series is presented in its original full frame aspect ratio. The transfer for this show looks good overall which is helped by a very good looking piece of animation. The show features something of a soft look to it which appears to be intentional and is generally free of any serious kind of problem. Colors are generally solid throughout, black levels look good and most backgrounds maintain a solid feel to them. There is some edge cross coloration going into a few areas but it's very minimal and hardly noticeable unless you're really looking for it. There is a clean feel to it overall and this presentation should please most.

Packaging:
The second installment of the series is a good looking entry in that it has an attractive shot of Kuu laying on her back, her breasts exposed, through what looks to be a window tinged with snow. The reverse front side cover is one good as well in that it has Kuu and a friend together as if they were outside the window wearing their winter clothes. The back cover and its reverse side follow the same trend with a number of graphic shots on one side and clean ones on the other. The summary covers the basics and the discs production and technical information is listed in the way they've done it for some time. It's not the best layout (technical grid!) but it does let you know what languages are involved and the best way to list runtimes.

Menu:
The menu design for this release is solid and better than the previous volume as it doesn't feel quite so noisy. Using the design from the cover, clips from the show play out within the background next to the design for Kuu. The logo and navigation is fairly standard in layout and there is a bit of instrumental music playing along to it that sets the mood nicely. The animation clips do a decent job of setting the mood as well and avoiding playing anything hardcore which is a plus. The disc correctly read our players' language defaults and played accordingly.

Extras:
The only extras on the disc are a set of images from the show, plus the bonus video which we've seen elsewhere. This time however it is soft subtitled and looks better.

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
The first installment of this OVA series certainly piqued our interest as it laid out the tale of two women coming returning to someone in order to properly pay him back. Along the way, both of them developed feelings for the young man but one of them more earnestly than the other. That has put the other sister in something of a quandary over what to do but sometimes situations change on their own.

For Kuu, her interest in Shoma is one that only seems to grow stronger and stronger. Having see him having sex with her sister in the previous volume, she's both jealous and excited over it. Events have led to her being underneath him and her awkwardness is quite apparent. The thought of him so close to her only serves to excite her more and she can't resist what her body wants. As much as she wants it to continue on indefinitely, she feels that she can't stay in that house anymore and has decided to set off on her own. While she wants Shoma herself, something in her tells her that her sister Chistao is likely the better fit for the two of them anyway.

Shoma's life is certainly all over the map during this and not unlike the rest of the cast he's hard to pin down as to exactly what's going through his mind. His situation gets even more complicated when he picks up an old friend from the airport as a favor. Ayame is something of a sexual acquaintance of his and the two of them have had some interesting encounters over the years apparently. She's used his picking her up as a way to kick start things again, something that he's not interested in because of what's going on with Chisato and Kuu. But the will of the flesh is sometimes stronger than the will of the mind. On the plus side, the sex there is good and the way he makes it up to Kuu later on is just as good with some fun exhibitionism.

With the plot being as all over the place as it seems to be, or at least not feeling like it's working all that smoothly for me, where the show saves itself is in the great looking character designs and sex scenes. Green Bunny shows have always had an appeal because of their designs and this one is simply no different. With the soft filter used it almost takes on a feeling of what you'd find on Cinemax late on a Saturday night. It's explicit enough in the sex of course but it has that kind of softcore storyline feel to it. Things do get a bit rougher this time around with Ayame arriving in the show and that brings some nice change to it. Shoma's former student showing up though is likely to impact the next episode but that is just a big unknown right now.

In Summary:
Natural Obsessions 2 has some high points to it but the plot simply isn't one of them. The show doesn't really change much between this and the previous one but the sex is getting a bit more diverse. A bit of bondage, some exhibitionism and sisters thinking of each other in the act all make up some of the best highlights. There aren't many features that I like to use the "straight to the sex" selection on but this is one where the plot makes me want to just ignore the material between the good stuff.
