Nazca Vol. #2

The Review!
Good points first, so people don't think I hate this release. There's something intangible about this series that makes me enjoy it. When I first saw the release of the first 3 episodes at Katsucon it was unintentionally (a consignment wasn't finished, basically :D). I'm glad I go to see it though. That's about as far as the good goes, however. The reason I say 'intangible' is because both the animation and video quality are average, and the audio is produced horribly. I'm an ex-music technology major, and I find the audio mix to be horrendous. I found the second disc to be a bit less entertaining than the first, although the 6th episode leaves off with a good cliffhanger. When it comes down to it, I'll buy the next disc. But I don't know why.

Technical problems:

A few scenes seem a bit warped, but it may be the source material. There are some definite encoding problems at 1:04:xx including a slight vertical glitch and an audio blip. And of course, the entire disc seems a bit muted and not as sharp as I like to see my DVDs. On the plus side, the menu reacts very quickly.
