I could have sworn it was a cosmetics company.  At least I was wrong on that point then.  And I knew she was little over a secretary in the military (do you read entire posts?), just thought that if they were to update it for today, a woman with a more important and active role in the military would have been better than a woman being the head of a cosmetics company.

SarcasticCaveman 5/17/2011 1:14:58 AM

Also, wasn't she in the military to keep an eye on the world of man, to see if they really were as violent as the Amazons thought they were?...but no, worrying about your celebrity is MUCH more important than that, I guess.

Best for the schedule?

That's not an excuse, that is blatent self-incrimination... Would HBO, Showtime or Starz use this pathetic reason?

Basically he's saying we want our shows to be all the same, and a 6ft woman in a halloween costume don't cut it. I like Palicki, I think she could be a great Diana, just lose the Ally McBeal shit and throw in some proper DC characters and reboot on Starz!

Adrianna Padilicki looks like she's going to pop out of that thing. I hope she pops out of that thing.... please pop out of that thing.

Wonder Woman needs to be made for the silver screen not tv. WB/DC should have a little more faith now that THOR has proven itself a success and WW is better known through out the world to boot. DO IT DO IT

The first problem with the concept is that bog company CEOs don't have time to run around fighting evil.  They put in long hours, go from meeting to meeting, sometimes flying from city to city or country to country.  Thei spouses rarely see them and their kids get raised by au pairs and day cares.

So how does this high-powered exec have time to throw on the red, gold and blue and go out and kick butt?

The cool thing about Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man, among others, was that heroing fit into their lifestyles.  Batman:  too rich to work.  Superman:  reporter on the scene.  Spider-Man:  photographer on the scene.  Etc.  Wonder Woman as an enlisted WAC in WWII works.  But a CEO?  And she still has time to have romantic problems and girl problems?

AT BEST, the character of Wonder Woman would work in an ensemble situation, but I don't think could carry an entire series or film by herself.  16-45(est) males are the top demographic for any superhero/comic book type shows and I just can't see this getting enough interests, maybe they tried to market for the young women's demographic and what came out was so condescending and cheeeeeeesy that they said screw it, unless she's under superman (literally) there is no use for her.  And I'm sure superman would agree that he could get behind that (literally).  I could get behind that.......

Yeah, I wish top execs at networks could just drop the pleasantries and be honest, "Wonder Woman?  Oh yeah we watched that fucking time-vampire of a pilot.  Will we pick it up?  Only to drop it in the folder titled "tv abortions".  I've heard of dumber ideas...........like dick-flavoured condoms!" - nbc exec

"Little hot pants".  Hmmm...someone missed the HR presentation at work.

Is this the same guy that destroyed the Showtimes line up a few years back?  They had a fantastic show called Dead Like Me that he chopped off at the knees for what sounds like the same mealy mouthed garbage.  Most of the people I know stopped watching ST about that time.

Every where fans of comics blasted the project from the moment it was announced. Its a shame, when nothing is good enough often nothing is what you get.  It sounds like the pilot was trying to please an audence who had never seen it, reshoots, costume changes, and chacter changes must have given the final product an uneven flow.

Shame because now we will never know what it could have been
