New 3 Minute Clip of SPEED RACER

A butt load of cheese dialog + some great racing action sequences = I'm there...No two ways about it...Sure this movie could have been darker like some people have complained it should have been and I think that would have been good also but I also think it would not have been any better than the one that was put together by the Wachowski's of course that's a matter of opinion and can debated but it is what it is and I think it looks awesome, that's right, I said awesome...

That looks like a Disney Channel production filmed by the same folks who do High School: The Musical. The effects look cheap and years old--certainly not cutting edge effects!!! In that seen, I felt no tension, excitement, or fear for the characters--How can you when it is clear that all the visuals are phony??? Spy Kids and Shark Boy And Lava Girl were more realistic. This is a mess, and the Wachowski Brothers screwed this up from start to finish!!! After its first big weekend at the box office, Speed Racer will sink and falter in its second weekend...and it will be over for this movie...and the Wachowskis reputation, along with that of Joel Silver, will be immediately placed into question!!!

And have you all noticed The Mach 6 and all the character redesigns...even an altered look and car for Racer X??? Well, that has nothing to do with trying to translate the original cartoon to a live action movie...no--rather, it had everything to do with getting a bigger cut of the royalties from toys sales and other film related merchandising. You see, the reason why the Mach 5 isn't being played up a lot or Speed Racer's original look is this: the studio, the producers and the Wachowskis would have to share more mechandising profits with the creators and owners of Speed Racer, hence, they created a sort of alternatrive world of Speed Racer that looks more like that cheap Monster car populated american sequel series to Speed Racer back in the 90s. What was cool about the original Speed Racer--well, it was more about a kid who was a dedicated race car driver out of tribute to his brother--a kid who accidently found himself increasingly pulled into a James Bond like world of international intrigue through no fault of his own...one that attracted his brother, who was assumed dead, back into his life...as Racer X--Speed's makeshift and accidental guardian angel, who is on his own missions as a spy, that just so happened to intersect with the lives of his brother and family...and the racing world which he abandoned years before. That was the cool thing about the series...which was more often brutal, violent, vicious, romantic, dramatic and very emotional at times, than anything else. This was the first cartoon on television with a true story arc and individual character arcs ever. It changed the perception of animation and what you could do with it story wise. Previously, cartoons featured two dimensional characterization. You knew nothing about the heroes or their personal lives...save for the setting and maybe their jobs or identification. Other than that, nothing. Speed Racer changed destroyed that paradigm!!! However, the Wachowskis have seemingly committed to a devolution of such grand ideas and placed their interpretation of Speed Racer squarely in the realm of most American cartoons of that era which tended to be empty nothing commercials, about nothing but selling toys!!! In this effort, the Wachowskis, have seemingly stripped Speed Racer of its grittier, dramatic and emotional real world integrity and replaced them with a video game friendly world, that plays up the sillier aspects of the series...which were used only as story filler and comedy relief therein. That is their ultimate failing. These guys are not fans of the original anime, as it is obvious they don't and didn't understand it...no--they were brought in as economic hired guns, and they missed the target!!!

The original Cartoon sucked. I liked it when I was 10, but just because it had a racecar, and Racer X. Since this has both of those + amazing actors, that means This will be better than that cartoon ever was. The special effects look cool as shit! This looks WAAAAAAAAAy better on every level.

Metalasswipe...We have heard your poor sap story already but this time I can admit, it almost brought a tear to my eye, almost...I will put down money that you will be standing in line for this movie, you can deny it but you will be and then the next thing you know you will have put together a montage of pictures and dedications of Speed Racer, all taped up on the inside of your closet door and you will more than likely jerk off to this montage bringing you to the low point of your life and in your disgust, not being able to admit your love for Speed Racer you will eventually hang yourself and the note that you will leave behind will expose all of the bones in your closet and the montage, which I guess is a bone in it's self and your secret will be exposed and since you won't care what any of us think, because you will be taking that long dirt nap, you will probably have them play the Speed Racer theme song at your funeral and we will all laugh and laugh and wonder, what kind of guy would Metal have been if he only exposed his true feelings for Speed Racer and then we will all laugh some more because we all know that would not happen because you are always right and once you declare that you are right about something you will never back track and admit that you could be wrong and then there will be more laughing and drinking into the night and everything will be good in the world except for what's happening in Africa and we will all go back to our lives and then the name Metalwater will become a lost memory but remembered every time we watch Speed Racer...That's your story and you are sticking to it...The End...

One more week until Judgement Day!!! I gave you guys the first weekend of Box Office for Speed Racer, but after that, this turkey is going down in flames in its 2nd weekend, and you two turkeys are going down with it!!! That was our bet, but if you phonies want to back down while you still have a chance to keep your panties on, then here is your out--or you can suffer the consequences and crash and burn instead. Your choice!!! Personally, I hope you choose the latter!!!

Less than one week to get your personal affairs in order. Doomsday is coming in the form of Speed Racer's demise!!! I gave you a handicap on the first weekend and still you are looking for wiggle room??? Just apologize now, and I'll let you two off the hook--or suffer the coming embarrassment. Allow me to let you in on a little information, the execs at Warner Brothers are now saying they expect Speed Racer to take in only 30 million dollars in its first weekend. Well, if the tracking numbers for Iron Man hold-up, it will make between 85 to 95 million this weekend. Should that occur, and should the tracking for Speed Racer be correct, even with a 65 percent drop of in box office...Iron Man could come in at number one at the box office next weekend, thus beating Speed Racer. Will that happen??? I don't know??? Are the Warner execs just holding their cards tightly against their chests just in case Speed under performs by giving us intentionally low balled tracking numbers--this, so that they can later claim to be surprised by its first place finish at the weekend box office next week??? Probably, but...the 2nd weekend will prove Speed's undoing as the sequel to The Chronicles of Narnia is coming out on that very weekend...and Iron Man will still be in release. The effect??? They will drain each other's available audience, and Speed Racer will get the most banged-up between the 3 movie releases. My guess is this is no accident. I believe that Warner is dumping Speed in heavy traffic because they have no confidence in the film and are trying to quickly bury it between the other major releases hoping that no one will notice that it bombed and that their golden boys, The Wachowski Brothers and Joel Silver screwed-up and are now damaged goods!!!
